    @CS_AR

I don't think I ever asked; what are you doing for onboard air if any?

Those new ones that @Running Board Man posted about?

Dang I didn't know they were $180...you can buy a reman OEM axle through CVJ for less than that (after core exchange).

Although considering Oreilley's normal axles are just ~$70, I would expect those new ones to be pretty dang good for another hundred bucks.

I could've sworn I saw people posting remans between $250/400 (with core/without core)

And I don't know what James posted at all, it's something another member posted some month or two ago.

He had shot me a text about it only to post soon after I thought.

CVJ has a variety of options but they're all just reman OEMs with different kinds of boots. IMO the best deal is the cheapest offering (link I posted) since it's basically just a reman OEM axle.

The reman I got from the dealership was the same price, though I didn't have an OEM core to exchange so it cost me another $75 ($190 total I think)

I would see if a local dealership has any remans left before going thru CVJ just to save on shipping, but since Toyota doesn't make them anymore CVJ may be the only option

I am curious about those O'Reillys ones with the weird looking CV shaft...maybe if I'm in a bind (pun intended) next time I need an axle I'll pick one up.

Their core policy says the cv has to be rebuildable.

Wonder if I could just slap a boot on the one Miguel gave me and send it to them. It's OEM but needs to be rebuilt.

The other one is a functional Napa axle but only needs a new boot...that could be backup to a backup

yeah I don't know what makes one rebuildable vs beyond rebuildable...I do have an OEM one stashed somewhere with a blown up inner joint but I don't know if that would be acceptable or not.

be funny if @what road tried to turn in just the shaft of the OEM one he cut off to see if they'd give him a core discount lol

Eh as far as that Napa axle goes, I would just take it to Napa and exchange it for a new one. They never even asked me for a receipt when I did it, I just brought it in and they gave me another. Better than going through the trouble of rebooting an aftermarket axle, even if it is a Napa one

I figured like tacomas and 4 runners the springs sag out so I replaced them but decided to go heavier duty as where I live has no real drainage just low parts of town and high parts of town seperated by high roads that act like dams when it floods, so I scraped everywhere

With the old suspention it was rediculus I could get the ass end of the car to bottom out with just the palm of my hand and minimal effort

My first thought was getting v6 and wagon struts but I thought about it and the shock valving would have been harsh as I don't have the extra weight

So I opted to buy 4 banger/sedan shocks and v6/wagon springs the correct shock valving but more spring rate

Cool thing is it got smoother than original because the springs are shorter so almost no preload (I would press the top hat down on the springs and my buddy would thread he nut on it was honestly more right than I could have hoped for
