Moving back to California?

I work for a Jaguar/Land Rover dealer, the corporate training center is in Irvine so I flew out there for training. Took a lift over to NB. Baja sharkeez has amazing nachos and I may or may not have stared at the insanely hot brunette behind the bar. Lol.

 

OP sounds thoughtful, considerate.... and sane. That sounds just like what CA needs more of right now. If that is what will make the family happy, having more down to earth (truck forum types) folks moving into CA sounds like a winner for everyone!

 

Since we're talking house prices, I'm about to close on a house in Pasadena, 1100 sq ft, 3 br, 2 bath, on a large lot, 12,500 sq ft, for $750k.

There are plenty of good people in CA Those of us here get a bit weary of the assumptions and generalizations - of any kind.

But adding another TW member might just cause this state to break off and fall into the pacific ocean

 

It'll cause "THE BIG ONE" to happen lol I'd rather put up with earthquakes and wildfires than the intense weather we get here in Texas. This weather is no joke. Not sure how meteorologists here in Texas still have jobs haha The forecast will say only 10 percent chance rain and next thing you know, you're experiencing tornado weather.

 

Don't worry, the Boomers a leaving in droves, as are the tin-foilers. Good for air quality. Good for real estate.

 

I born and raised in Texas. Been here all my life and I can agree depending where you are in texas you will have alot of humidity. There are some advantages in Texas and disadvantaged as well so I will have a different opinion being born here. I have been to California for vacation a few times and enjoy it when I go and I'm glad when I leave but you and your wife miss it and what's really important is if you want to move back cause of family, food, things to do etc, then it's really your decision. If you have family support then you will fit right back in there. I wasn't born in California so it would be hard for me to have the same opinion about it. I wouldn't stay in a state that I'm not happy living in any more than I would stay at a job my whole life that I hated
