So I had a jackass turn in front of me the other day, fortunately it was low speed, but I'm in need of some parts.

As far as I can tell so far I will need the following:

    Driver's headlight assembly
    Core support
    Driver's fender
Potentially drivers off road trd flare
    Bumper, factory or otherwise

Last but not least, a hood. which if I'm going to paint a hood, I would like a sport hood

All of this is preferred in MGM so that I don't have to paint it, but doesn't necessarily have to be MGM.

I’m assuming that cop did a report? Have you contacted your insurance immediately after??

If the other driver is 100% at fault, why not just let their insurance pay for new OEM and have the body shop of your choice do the work? I don’t understand why you’re trying to source used parts on a forum to do the work yourself if the other driver is at fault.
I’m not sure if insurance companies will purchase replacement parts and let one of the involved party’s make the repairs themselves. I believe it would need to be an ASE certified body shop.
Basically you’re paying for everything, even though the accident wasn’t your fault? Unless there’s more to the story than you’re willing to share.

I mean, if you want to upgrade some things I could see going this route but if said asshat is at fault then save yourself.

Go throught his insurance, at the body shop you choose. If you want a sport hood ask the body shop to order one and you pay the differnce between an OEM hood and the OEM sports hood, including whatever the differnce would be in the painting of the sport hood.

Seems pretty simple to me. He's going to get $2000 (example) from the insurance company. Source the parts himself for half of that. Install the parts himself. And pocket the rest of the money for cool modifications after :spy:

Sounds like a hassle to fix your self, especially if the core support is damaged. Unless your planning to pull It and take measurement's nothings going to fit right.

Part of the headlight housing and/or fender moved into the core support and rolled one of the corners of it. I'm not going to try fixing a fatigued piece of metal, but the core support itself did not move. It doesn't need a core support because it hit hard enough to move it or something

This was kind of the goal, if I'm going to take the hit on the value of my truck i might as well at least make it the way I want

Dude, all you need to do is file a diminished value claim with the other party's insurance. I think you're making this more complicated than it needs to be. Time is money, let a good body shop fix it right with new OEM parts. Having receipts of the work and OEM parts used will help when you go to sell it. Even though it's been in an accident, it will be easier to sell if you can show the repairs were done in an ASE shop instead of by Larry the Cable Guy in his carport. Also, might as well get the full diminished value you're owed by having the diminished value estimated by an adjuster, not trying to make it worth it by pocketing the insurance money and doing the repairs yourself. You'll probably make more going this route too.
