Ah OEM parts. That's where a heavy chuck of the 2760 is coming from then. I was wondering because I rebuilt my entire motor for 3300 and 2k of that machine shop work to have them redo the entire block. I did all the install work myself though so I can only imagine what shop labor is

Yeah thats with oem hg with all the washers bolts and shit needed for the change, oem new cylinder head, coolant flush, new plugs, and labor all together. I get friends and family discount, and another 5% for first time purchase on their cc. I couldnt imagine otherwise. Now i see why some ppl get a new car when this happens

Was looking at my LCAs since the shop recommended changing out the bushings soon....does the steering rack have to come off to do the LCA bushings?

The bolt going through the LCAs is only a couple inches from the rack and looks like it only comes out that direction (right into the steering rack)

It doesn’t have to come all the way off. But the tierods need to be free of the LBJ so you can move it out of the way enough.
Might as well change the rack bushings if you haven’t already

What style 3rd gen 4Runner grille should I order for the flatbed? Thinking the 01-02 just because it will be the most unique from the 98-00 Taco grille I had on.

Yeah those are definitely going on soon, rack is moving around when I turn the steering wheel. Sounds like all those bushings should just get done at the same time.

The rack bushings are easy. You’ll probably luck out on the LCA bushings and not have to cut them.

Haha I don't expect to have to cut them, no

Shop I was at yesterday told me 'we'll do your LCA bushings but labor will be expensive cause the steering rack will have to come off'

I knew that didn't sound right, haven't heard that on here. But when I looked at the bolts on the LCA it made me wonder.

Just gonna do it all myself especially if it's just the outer tie rod that has to pop off.

Rack bushings I know are easy, just have to remove the stupid diff drop before I do it so that long bolt in the rack can slide out without hitting my diff.
