Mine was a black 95 Civic EX Coupe 5 speed.
    Bet it was fun!
No, nothing fun about beetles. I drove one some after getting my license but it was not mine. It was the only vehicle in my house that I was allowed to learn to drive a manual in. Think it was a 78? Super Beetle convertible. I hated that thing with a passion but was grateful to be able to learn to drive a manual with it. My sister had a 69 beetle as her first car.

The wreck in my Honda was a weird hit and run situation. This guy in front of me suddenly turned on his hazard lights and came to a complete stop. I tried to stop in time, but brakes locked up (no ABS) and I slammed into the back of his Corolla. Radiator pushed into the front of the motor and my car wouldn't move. As I called the police, the Corolla started driving away. I told the 911 operator that I was involved in a hit and run, but I did the hitting and the other driver was doing the running. Turns out, the other driver was deaf, thought he had a flat tire and tried to stop, but I hit him. He had no idea what was going on, so he went home. I knocked the license plate off his car when I hit him, so that's how the cops located him. I got a $250 ticket and a totaled car.

But my first car is what got me hooked. 89 Supra White Package but had to get rid of it due to a blown head gasket. I knew long ago what I was getting into.

19and74 Ford Maverick... two tone, powder blue and rust.... It was the 2 door GT model. Yeah boy... lol! It had that plucky little 302 in it with glass packs that turned out just in front of the rear tires. I still have it, though it’s been parked in my grandma’s field since ‘98. So far people have stolen the radiator, the carb, and broken out a window. At this point I’m not sure if it’s worth trying to put it back on the road or not. I’m sure it’s more rust than powder blue at this point.

Second car was an ‘82 Accord with a stick. I did a LOT of dumb things in that car until the motor locked up on me.

Did a few things to it, bigger tires and a stinger exhaust. Run it up to about 2500 and dump the clutch the front wheels would come off the ground.

mine was 5speed too. I had mine so clean that when I got rear ended the insurance didn’t total it. $2200 in damage and it was only worth $2600, they wrote me a check and left the title clean. I zip tied the crack in thE bumper took my moms hair dryer and popped out the dent and left the slight wrinkle in the 1/4 panel alone lol. The next 2 owners was a friend if mine and then my cousin.
