i think most of the JamMan's will be able to do that. my guitar teacher from way back had a little dedicated desktop unit to record things i wanted to learn and slow them down, kinda similar to this:

    https://reverb.com/item/35293039-akai-u400-riff-o-matic-phrase-sampler

but not quite. i'll be hunting now too because i'm curious.

Could do without the stripe, but love the color! Matching head stock gets a +1!

I felt the same way when I first got it, then the stripe grew on me. Nice little quirks of the Competition models, and a cool callback to the old racing Fords. The color is Ocean Turquoise Metallic (OTM) and this is the Japanese variant of the color. The polyurethane finish won’t quite age the way the American nitro finish will. :(
    Imagine a Tacoma in OTM?

Alright I think I've settled on the JamMan solo xt. Gonna swing by the pawn/music shop tomorrow and see if they have any. If not, will probably buy one off Reverb

After debating on the Roland Octopad and a couple of edrums, including alesis, Simmons, etc, as well as numerous models of each. I decided to wait on Sweetwater to restock the Roland TD1-DMK kit which includes the double bass pedal.

Just received notification that its in and ordered.

Not so much interested in the pre programmed drum sounds as I'll be using my ez drummer 2 and studio one drums in daw. But I have to say, the 1st 2 kits really sound impressive in the video.

I'll upgrade the bass drum later on as well as add another cymbal or 2. But all in all, I trust the Roland brand more so than alesis.

About a twin to my set...TD-8 brain with the same cymbals. I upgraded the snare to mesh but my toms are still rubber.

You will not be disappointed, especially with the extra mesh. I'd recommend

Right. I took your advice and looked for some older Roland kits but decided to just buy new.
My next decision was go with entry level or balls out with a kv17 or kv50?. As an amateur drummer who hasn't played in years, I think this kit will serve it's purpose for my needs and a nice expansion for my studio loft.

It's feeling ok pain wise but the numbness is still there. Still havnt got to QC connetics to see if I'm eligible for the new neuropathy procedure.

If it bothers my shoulder to much atleast my buddy can play it.

That vids a year old. I can't find some of the stuff on Sweetwater. Looks like there's some newer stuff.
The kd-9 kick pad for example. There's a kd-10 out.
Wonder if everything is just plug and play?

If its Roland, it likely is...you're all mesh coming yes? You wont be upgrading soon. Stuff is out there to mod, but its mostly for guys who are much better than me lol

    I'm guessing I'll
Bigger snare and Tom would be nice.
Especially the kick drum. Because it's not a standalone. It's a rubber pad attached to a support. (Ghey).

I guess the brain would be nice to swap since this brain only has 1 extra port for a tom or cymbal.
But it will do me for now. It's a far better kit than I could ever master anyway.
