    I think Bullit was a 390.

Another one of my prize rides was a white 1972 Datsun 240 Z. I ended up building the motor up bored out with 6 into one header, then split with cherry bomb mufflers, dual exhaust stacked out the back, balanced and blueprinted, ported & polished head and Isky race cam. I scored a set of dual Webber downdraft carbs. Fun car that started at 150 HP stock but when I was done it dynoed at 285 HP. Centerline wheels with T/A series 50’s all the way around. It got stolen in San Diego. :(

I surprised a couple of 5.0 Mustangs back in the mid 80’s with it. Lol

Yes, what’s cool is the white on the whitewall tires is actually the wheels.

Actually, the George Barris Batmobile was based on the Lincoln Futura concept car.

Sounds like a sweet ride !!!!

That Moser rear should work well for you as those 31 spline axles are rated at 700 hp / 7700 ft lbs

The reason I went 35 spline axles , Nodular iron case , Billet pinion support , Billet yoke , Billet Full spool and a Fab Nine housing . I have a 600 hp 427sbc and a full race Turbo 350 with full manual reverse valve body with a Transbrake . I'll be launching off the transbrake at 3800 rpm and should run low 10's at 128mph

I did run across this photo of a 1958 Plymouth Tornado concept car. Would have been a worthy basis for a Batmobile.

They used to play these old black and while serials that were shown at the movie theaters in the late 40s. Once a Batman serial was on and I saw this car. This is a photo of a model.

I’d never seen or heard of this one. Based on a ‘56 Oldsmobile. It was finished in 1963 and was the official Batmobile until the George Barris car.

Looks good. I'm beefing up the tubes on mine plus an external brace, going to Eaton Truetrac, and Auburn gears. Actually going from 3.73 up to 3.42 since I have SO much torque already. Plus I should be able to run [most] autocross in low with the 3.42s. Trying to make the ole girl actually turn and stop now that [I thought] I made it go quite well. 13.4/103 with NO traction at all. That was with the factory 215/65s. It would do low 12s as it sits with traction. The update will have 245/45/17 front and 275/45/18 rear stagger. Custom SSIII look-alikes but I have the matching 442 centers not shown here. Going drum to disk in back solves the c-clip potential problem. Might well have been cheaper to just bite the bullet and go Ford 9 like "normal people" do but I'm a too old, set in my ways, purist.

    Lol
That will, get the job done, sounds sweet. A buddy of mine owns a body shop [he painted my GTO] I posted earlier. He always has an early second gen Camaro. He builds and flips them and both first and second gen Chevelles. Some bad machines have gone through his shop. He has an 8:20 second quarter mile 55 Chevy as well as a Hellcat Challenger. I took the Hellcat down the strip at Bandimere a couple of weeks ago. Fun, fun, fun.

Now George Barris did use a GTO for the Monkeemobile. I weep to think that a perfectly good 66 GTO gave its life for this hideous thing.
