Do the BSM or Parking sensors have ign power? I’m going to have to remove those switches (lost functionality with HC bumper), and if they do I can just tap them for ign power for the switches under the radio.

Pretty much everything as far as switches go on these trucks is low side switched, meaning closing the switch connects whatever is on the other end to ground (usually the BCM, ECM, or other computer).

no backlighting. Just the bulb for 100 watts and the other for the 400 watts indication. No room for more lights...

Lol, If it bothered me do you think I would have joined in!? It's all good info. I would love to come up with a good place to give a no-splice way to power aftermarket switches. That brake light switch is the best one I have found so far. I am not sure how I missed it last time. It should be fairly easy to get at under the dash and it's only a 4 pin hybrid connector. I think I have located a supplier for both the M&F of it. MOQ of 50 pcs, but price isn't bad.

    Hey @lapoltba,

Any chance there’s an easy way to make the PTS switch light up all the time? I regularly park in the work garage on the semi basement floor. In the corner. Against the wall. With limited lighting. It’s actually a bit hard to find the PTS without turning on the interior or headlights.

To within about an inch... which means I miss it half the time. But your point is valid, I may try relying strictly on memory and not peeking. Perhaps looking for it is what’s screwing me up. #FWP.

Honestly without going into the truck, I don't know if I press it with or without looking. Haha. Might have to eat my words.

I miss it a few times. Maybe hit it with about a 69% success rate. If I'm not sure, I just put my foot on the brake and the switch lights up to remove all doubt (at least as far as switch location goes. It regrettably does not remove other doubts).

Push to Start. My brake seems to work differently. Didn’t light up switch.

It should light up when you step on the brake or when you open the door.
