I wouldn't think they would because the 2nd gen's are heavier. The 1st gen's would probably require a different spring in regards to stiffness even if the coil over shock would work but I'm only guessing.

    Newb here, couple of questions.

I have a 2012 Tacoma Double Cab TRD 4x4. I am going to installing a Fabtech 6" lift, that I got for (1500), comes with the coilovers. With the 6" lift I understand there is no need to replace the UCA's because the suspension dimensions should stay close to the same, also the kit does come with them. Is there any reason not to replace them? I was looking at Fabtech's UCA just to match the lift, but I see a lot of trucks with different brands of UCA's. Any reason to not use Fabtech's? Also have about 110000 miles, since the kit does not comes with LCA bushings, I should go a head and replace them, correct?

I did post in the general 2nd gen, but didn't get any responses.

Side note its has the dirt logic coils are they any good?

    Thanks!

What condition are your wheel bearings? Check the play of the wheels when they are off the ground and see if you have move them from side to side. You shouldn't have any play or the wheel bearings need to be replaced. Larger wheels on 6 inch lifts are known for ruiing wheel bearings.

With a 6" and 35's do really have to trim the fender flares? If so what did you trim them with? Any pics?

Wheel bearings dont have any noticeable play. I replaced the outer tie rods, inners felt smooth with no in and out play so I left them for now. I am trying to get 4wheel parts to price match these kings. When I am putting them in ill have a better look at the lower ball joints and control arm bushings. Might just need all the bushings in the front replaced. Ill probably just pull the front knuckles and have new bearings pressed in to be safe.

What’s up guys. Just found this thread and figured I’d show my truck. 2015 with a 6” bds lift on 35s. Originally had a pro comp 3”. Found a guy wanting to trade so I ended up paying $600 for the lift, wheels, and tires all installed. I think it was a pretty good deal. Glad I found this thread cuz I didn’t know about the 5100 and Eibach springs. Need to replace shocks soon and wanna get rid of the spacer.

Also who is running what for UCAs. Wanting to replace my stock ones soon.

I saw some of the icon upper control arms with delta joints the other day on a tundra, they looked really good. I like the idea of having the boot over the joint so its protected.

Anyone got a custom front skid made? I have a bds lift and would like a better skid than the stock one.

This is exactly what I want to do for my rear. Any chance you can point me in the right direction of part numbers or sites? Appreciate it!
