Wow man, I'm sorry to see that. Good idea to take d breather and come back to it at a later date. Don't give up though, there are always set backs and hurdles for every great reward!

I’m just so mad because that’s like $400 dollars pissed away and then I’ve got to spend more money for new parts. Ontop of that idk wtf caused the issue. Maybe it was just a bad bushing? Bad axle?

So initial observation and I'd have to look at mine to be sure and check with someone that's done the swap but I think those really big washers you have under the nuts are supposed to go on the bolt head on the bushing side. I'm pretty sure mine has something like that

I’m not sure but what really sucks is I have OEM bolts on the way. Already have the nuts. I mean, it could have been a lot worse. At first glance I thought my engine oil pan was fuck up. But actually barely touched it. Basically one side failed and cause the hole diff to be uneven when I was in 4h. Passenger side cv completely bound up and is done. Drive side cv seems to be ok but boot is broken.

This is for a 1st Gen, but they should be similar. You can see the conical type washer on the bolt head. I'm thinking that was the issue.

No washer on 2nd gen. The bolt is a flange head though.

There should be a metal cup between the bolt and the rubber bushing. That should not be able to pull through

Get a price on Toyota rebuilt CVs, usually about half that, Toyota stated rebuilding them a few years ago.

Weird. Unless the washer is molded to the bushing itself
