So I took my truck in to get alignment and tires mounted. I spoke to them about about the alignment and if they can try hook up my caster not to max even though the tech specs for camburg say to do a max caster, stock toe and stock camber on my camburg uca because if I got max caster it will rub. Also I been reading on some people rubbing on their UCAs and I hope I don’t

Eager to hear/see the results! If you got the tubular ones you oughta be safe from rubbing. The billets are fat. I did sliiiightly graze my stock UCA’s when I had the 295’s put on, but that was only when I reversed at full lock on dips. And I mean SLIGHTLY that I didn’t feel anything. I only saw small smear marks

yeah mine are tubular ones and they’re the ball joint ones not the uniball ones. I have 0 offer methods so I hope I don’t need spacers

Got a call from my mechanic and he said it’s good no rubbing anywhere but he said my inner tire rod has a lot of slop and I told him to replace it. I won’t be getting it till Monday or Tuesday now. $350 for inner tie rods and alignment smh

yeah it’s hard to trust mechanics now and days so I called around to make sure the price was right. Shoot Toyota even mentioned that if my inner tie rods are bad it can be due to the rack and pinon and they said that’s $1500 alone smh

Ultimately it could be that but that’s a worst case scenario. Your mechanic knows the most about your truck and it’s good to keep that relationship. One of my friends is a great mechanic so I go to him for some of the bigger jobs

Your spot on with trusting mechanics. Toyota dealership like to hike those prices up so I’d rather go local independent shops

Yeah I think all dealerships are like that. Fortunately my local one is super cool and actually quite honest. Still can be pricey but they always address any of my concerns and requests.
