Ok @mechanicjon @BlackSportD. I know both of you have at least some experience in electrical stuff. curious if either one of you have any thoughts.

I have a PLX DM-6 with the added boost module. It’s completely separate from the AFR module but passes through it to the display.

Since day one I’ve had an I issue where it just flashes a random number. So, for example with key on, engine off, it will sit at 0 but will intermittently flash 13Hg.

When in boost it does the same thing and rarely does it in cruising. It can be so bad in boost it makes it more difficult to read. But it’s completely intermittent, some days it’s worse others I don’t notice it.

PLX will not help me. They done support that module any longer instead they want me to buy the $200 upgrade.

Could this possibly be fixed with a resistor (too much noise) or does it sound like the MAP sensor is faulty?

Sounds like a map sensor. I'm not real familiar with the PLX DM-6. Can you buy just the map sensor at a reasonable price?

Maybe. But I’d probably have to desolder it from the board and solder another in its place. And I still don’t know if that’s the issue.

Oh map sensor is internal. It could be a broken solder joint. Have you opened it up to take a look?

HOT! I haven't checked them since I stepped up to the #3 nozzle. I have to program the temp sender values into the AEM program to read it. There's only one aux input for fic6. Right now I have it switched to wideband readings. Before when I was running a #1 nozzle I was around 180-220 running hard in boost @115 ambient air temp and 190 water temp.
My dam IAT sensor in the MAF will hit 160 idling at a light.

Holy crap 160 from the IAT sensor is nuts. Even with our 110+ degree days I haven't seen my IAT read over 125. I don't know if maybe my snorkel helps by pulling air from directly outside rather than the wheel well closer to the ground

I'm thinking some of it might be from my inner fender skirts not being that good. Letting air from engine compartment escape into wheel well. I have the materials to cut new ones, just haven't done it.

I don’t have any skirts and I don’t get that high. But it’s also rarely over 98 here.

    yep that’s hot,
That’s at 5-6 pounds of boost too?
10 pounds of boost would be ALOT hotter.
Just curious why you don’t have a dedicated guage for your supercharger temperatures that you can see all the time?

That's in the works. I wanted to be able to log my temps. That's why it's tied into my fic/6.
    6psi boost

    What's your highest temp?

So far 185 degrees with 11 pounds of boost on the hot side going into rhe engine with outside temperatures around 100 degrees at WOT.
With temperatures this hot outside not really pushing it to much tho.

Just to note, i have stock injectors with the urd 7th injector and i am getting ready to toss the 7th injector out and replace them with 6 larger 310cc. i am having issues with pinging when accelerating from a low rpm to high. If my transmission wouldnt switch gears so much it would be perfect.

that’s why the 7th comes with timing control. It’s not a fueling issue it’s a timing issue.

Try this. Use the options menu and select “output” change the start psi window to 1psi. Your AFR will now be ~13.5 using the stock injectors in boost. It’ll probably still ping ruling out being too lean in boost.

I don’t see dumping more fuel into the cylinder, which the ECU will just trim out to stay at 14.7, will stop the ping.
