Made some steel bedside caps today. The plastic ones had a visible seam from where I bobbed my bed and I wanted to get rid of that. Want the bob to be as seamless as possible.

Anyways, came out pretty good. Once they were all done I used some finishing pads on them. Really made a difference in the finished quality, I’m a big fan. Made it much smoother and knocked off some millscale, and didn’t leave any visible lines.

Looks really good. On a side note, how do you like the Dewalt fan? 20 volt I assume?

Finished my AC outlet in the cab today. Thanks to KTJO4x4 for the wiring harness to get both the 400W anytime plus the power and neutral from the inverter. Had a quick question, emailed her, and got a response back very quickly. Thank you!

    https://www.ktjo4x4.com/product/toy...time-power-outlet-plug-n-play-wire-harness/30

Instead of an outlet, I opted for a 3-plug extension cord setup, placed under the passenger seat.

That is one of my favorite recent purchases. I originally got it for camping but use it in the garage a whole lot. It’s nice because I can move it around with me depending on where I’m working in the garage.

Have you considered flipping your proper spare to face up to be protected from debris? Or is it that way because you didn’t want the dimples to be shown when you go to rotate them?

Damage anything else in the process? You can unbolt it, throw it in 4HI and drive home in front wheel drive.

Edit: as well as cruise around in front wheel drive while you wait for it to get fixed.

I browse this thread often looking for ideas I’d enjoy doing. Kudos man I don’t often see something and immediately think “that’s a must.” Super unique and useful idea man.

the caption on this and the crooked boxes had me laughing out loud.

I figured you had a good reason lol. There’s a lot of red dirt over here so my undercarriage is not the prettiest. I can’t fit my full-size spare there. I wrestled with it enough but I want to try again when I have the patience

Can you elaborate on the problem you had with the power inverter? OEM inverter?

Why would Toyota not put out any colorful paint choices? No nice blues or greens or?
