Nah nothing damaged. I had to do the same thing when I blew my diff in Moab 600miles from home. Then it snowed while I was going up the mountain. The torque steer on these things is insane.

Haha. somehow I made it off the trail and as soon as I hit the main road it let go. Also I don't think the mall crawlers would like me, I scratched all 4 brand new wheels today.

Replaced the carrier bearing and u-joints today.
    20200822_125803.jpg
Had to beat the shit out of the old carrier bearing to get it to come off20200822_135143.jpg
And I shattered a few needle bearings pressing in my last cap on the last u-joint and had to return to the parts store to buy a 4th u-joint20200822_164622.jpg
But other than that it went pretty smooth.
And BTW if anyone is looking for a new carrier then buy the dana spicer part # 5002007 (if you have the 4x4 trd offroad). Purchased it from eBay for $67. This is the exact part that toyota uses. Even has toyota printed on the carrier bearing. My local toyota dealership quoted me $264 (just for the carrier bearing.... not including labor).

I don't enjoy replacing u-joints for that very reason. I'm sure there's a trick to it but I haven't done enough to figure it out!

Last night, I took the spacer blocks and shock extenders out of the rear suspension of my truck. I've never been overly concerned with axle wrap but where I live now, there's a stop sign at the top of a steep hill near my house. My truck really hops away from that stop every morning. It's much smoother now.
Fortunately, I just installed the u-bolt flip kit a few weeks ago so my hardware was easy to remove, no rust. Also, when I put the shock extenders on, I put a little grease on all the bolts. That was a few years ago, but they still came off surprisingly easy.
As a side note, my stock Bilsteins have over 100,000 miles on them and my truck is now almost seven years old. It's a good thing I ate my Wheaties yesterday. Those shocks were still in great shape and a real bitch to compress. I'll probably look for an add-a-leaf spring or something to get a few more inches back into the rear. For now, I'll just adjust the headlights back down a little and drive it for a while as is. It's only 1/2" higher in the front, measured to the fender flare.

Mid Oil change I realized my passenger rear tire won’t last much longer with the dry rotting so thinking about upgrading to 285 next week....
    any recommendations?

Restored the headlights. Hopefully that’ll buy me another 6 months before having to get some pro headlights

also installed the rear coverkings STILL waiting on the fronts even though they got ordered almost 2 full months ago :annoyed:

Ymmv, but I've been running no sway bar for over a year now, and I really dont feel a difference. Did it when I first put the coilovers in the front with a stock rear end, and now with deavers and 2.5x12's. No other mods to add weight or anything. At most it leans a tad more going around corners or highway ramps. But I dont think it makes a huge difference on our trucks. Maybe if you tow, but that went out the window with my deavers :D

The problem I had with it is that I didn't have one. I have a 2012 regular cab base model truck.

There is a protector that covers the inverter wire under the center console. I ordered one for a 2015, come to find out, the converter I have is from a 2011(?).

When I was installing the carpet back into my truck I broke one of those plastic guides for the wires, it also holds the carpet.
Found the part number and will order it sometime this week.

here's a .pdf in case anybody needs something similar.

    Honeycomb composite sleeper platform.

If you were local I'd help you figure it out. Rivnuts could work to clear, or drill and tap the steel.

One problem I have is building things with tight tolerances. I've been looking at a full up kitchen build off some 4' slides. Trouble shooting designs over forums is pretty difficult, but keep on building. It looks sweet!

So I had those, purchased from eBay, and they’re trash. Burned out within 24 hours of installing them. Put on the second set, same thing.

Bought these ones and they’re still going strong. They’re different construction, though very similar lights.
