Reading these last few pages isn't very encouraging now that I dropped my deposit yesterday and scheduled for Sept 10th :fingerscrossed:

Can anyone please help to provide the part#'s for the OEM seals that I see most people buying?

    I have a 2020 Off-Road. Thanks in advance!

Not sure how you handled it, but I would’ve gone ape shit. I mean, I understand, we all make mistakes. But that’s just too far Man. Does anyone know if it would've been possible for the truck to shift into 4hi at some point? If so, can you imagine the damage? I don’t know man. At least leave a yelp review, or a discount on the job. Something.

I don’t want to be a dick, I’m sure they CAN do good work. But there’s a difference between a mistake, and negligence. This is negligence. If they can mess up the largest parts, literally the main parts, then I’m sure they can make mistakes on smaller details. They need to re-evaluate their shop and slow the hell down.

I completely agree. Right now, I want everything to go smooth so I dont need to take the truck to them again and risk another chance of something else going wrong.

I do wonder if better/expensive shops sometimes make the same mistakes.

I will leave a thorough Yelp and Google review after I put some miles on the new gears.

Now I am scared. They have great Yelp reviews and I am scheduled to get my Land Cruiser regeared. I'm just finding out about this group buy and its problems.

I doubt that was it. I bet they grabbed the wrong box going to install since the front and rear come in separate boxes.

For anyone wanting to jump in I'd definitely say read the last few pages. Im very happy with my gears, but I'm not happy about how some of these installs have been going. Unfortunately I'm hands off from here and too busy with my school/work to be dealing with these issues.

500 mi break in done. Diffs’ fluids changed.

Fill plugs came undone with a ratchet. Drain plugs needed a little encouragement from the flex handle. Fluids looked ok…small bubbles towards the end. Fine sludge on both drain magnets-no big chunks.

After reading all of the bad experiences, I think I’m pretty lucky (knocks on wood while typing this). I think I got in after the first round of complaints when they were really minding their p’s & q’s.

@socalexpeditions – thank you again for setting this up. I hope Premier West gets its act in gear (pun intended) on future jobs.

@chengitis - thanks for the recommend on the Lexus drain plug!

Of course, I still have to wire the locker…no time yet. Has anyone found a good shop that’d do that?

Just hit 500 miles. Went to change oil on rear and the drain plug was impossibly tight. Gonna have to take to local shop for them to change and buy replacement for rear drain plug as i almost stripped it. Not sure on fill location as i didn't even get that far.

Something as simple as a plug only requiring 36-37 lbs per manual they defiantly didn't follow manual requirements at all.

If they took an extra 2-3 minutes to do the right thing it would be a great shop... I am 50/50 at this point if i would recommend them again.

I did my oil change today and I was lucky. Nothing leaked but with all the horrible stories about the over tighten bolts went out and picked up this bad boy. Made it super easy

    Too few to list.
I was thinking of getting this done but after reading this i’m not so sure I want to go through them anymore. It seems like they are overwhelmed with all the business this group buy got them and they are just turning our trucks in and out as quick as they can. Wouldn’t be an issue if they took care in doing so.

I can't recommend having work at this shop. I know the savings are tempting. That's what hooked me. However, based on my experience, the risk is not worth the savings. Had mismatched gears been damaged while out on a trail, that would have been a nightmare.

This may be a stupid question but is anyone addressing these issues with Miguel?
