    Hello TW,

Just reaching out to see if anyone else has encountered this issue. I just got my Prerunner regeared from stock to 4.56 at a local offroad shop. While I was driving home I realized the rear diff lock was engaged. I tried disengaging it but nothing happens??? The shop is closed now and doesn't open until Monday, so I tried doing some troubleshooting which was futile! I will be taking back to the shop on Monday, but was wondering if anyone has encountered this and was succesful in disengaging the diff.

    Thanks in advance!

    Is the E-locker light on?

Sounds like it could be wired wrong. If the switch to the elocker is off and the locker is still engaged unplug the connector to the elocker and see if it releases. If it does then it is wired incorrectly.

Gonna give that a shot. Any possiblity that the teeth are misaligned? If I pull the actuator can I manually turn the internal teeth to try and "reset" or disengage the diff lock?

Is it a factory elocker? I'm not too familiar with the internals of those but if its anything like the front ADD with the sleeve then those teeth will eventually line up and lock in place. The same with unlocking. I just installed a Harrop elocker in my front diff which uses a magnet and ramping mechanism with pins that lock the sleeve to the other axle.

Yes, it's a stock e-locker. I poped it out already and everything seems to be functioning, just not sure everything is lined up properly.

I got it working today. I pulled the actuator and adjusted the teeth inside the DIFF until it was disengaged and light went off in center cluster. It took me a couple of trys positioning the teeth just right to get it to go on and off appropratley, but I got it working. Super easy fix, however, still calling the shop tomorrow and complaining.
