I'm interested, but not sure I can go. As of right now, I can not, but if that changes, I will be there.

I posted in the trips section, we go to Citrus at least once a month. Heading there this morning actually, sorry for the short notice, meeting at the Applebee’s on Main at 9:00am. If you want a group to go with check out FLORVE (Florida offroad vehicle enthusiast) on Facebook, that’s where the trips are planned. If you’re like me and don’t have a fb, I transfer everything to the TW trips page and Instagram...but not always in a timely manner. Hope to see you guys out there soon!
P.s. it’s not always citrus, but so far it’s proven to be the most fun for us

Nope. Even if I left right now, I couldn't be there in time.

Edit: Besides, I think there's gonna be a little too much weather going on with all the tropical storm activity. It'll be better next weekend after all the rain makes the washouts deeper.

I hope you can go next week, but I understand life happens. I went today with a few guys, it was pretty cool. They flattened the center of the second section on 14, but the sides are still kinda fun. They didn’t want to hit 19 so we can do that next weekend. It was actually drier than I thought it would be considering all the rain we’ve had. I hope we can get a little group to go next Sunday, should be fun.

    I learned something new today.

Last month I bought a 5.56X45 SPR 18" upper with a sub-MOA rating. First 3 times shooting after the break-in the best group I got was a single .75" with the rest being between 1" and 2", most closer to 2". I guess a lawyer could call that sub-MOA but I contacted the manufacturer last week about the dismal performance and was told to remove the military AE muzzle brake and try shooting it again. The groups shrank considerably without the brake.
A few .335" and slightly+ groups were accomplished today using 77 grain Nosler and 75 grain Hornady bullets, twice fired non re-annealed LC NATO cases, CCI 450 primers, N140 powder and a slight Lee FCD crimp as my compensation for the non-annealed cases. (Other than the Nosler bullets and Vihtavouri powder this was what I consider not my best combo for accuracy). The worst group I recorded today was just under 1.25" and I know it was me causing this and not the rifle or the occasional gusty cross wind at the range today.

After the uplifting non-brake shooting was done I re-installed the brake and the POI was now 2" low and horizontally spread out like before, shooting the same ammunition. Back to almost 2" groups.

The manufacturer is sending me a no charge, better shooting, non-military muzzle brake to appease me but it will probably never see range time on this rifle, maybe on my carbine.

I did find a nice thread protector that fit the muzzle perfectly for $11 on Amazon.

I feel very comfortable moving on to the 300-600 yard ranges next...

Well, drag your ass up here and let’s do some wheeling. I saw Frank had A/Ts on his truck last, so maybe he retired. Lol.

Too late to retire with that crushed beer can. He's probably really swamped with daddy duties though.
