Somehow the Mrs and the youngest got their results back. Me and my son, nothing yet. Even though we got tested at the same time.

The ladies are negative. So by logic, the men should as well. But you never know.

what does the engine need? I can recommend a good shop by me but they aren’t “Toyota” only. But they can fix or upgrade anything.

Hey Santas212 - I’m not 100% sure but from it appears that it either has a bad head gasket, a cylinder head is bad, or the engine block itself..

Morning everyone. Happy Sunday. Finally got all of the results. All negative.

Wife still wants to lay low for another week because she thinks that we may still have cough something, and wants to wait the full 14 days to see if anything shows up symptoms wise.

Me, I'm of the opposite opinion. Test was negative which means we are in the clear. If we would have caught something, regardless if we showed symptoms or not, the test would have caught the virus and came back positive. Makes sense to me. But there's so much information and misinformation going around that I'm all sorts of confused.

So... Happy wife, happy life. We'll do what she wants.

Hey sunday!!!! Lawn mowing today, some house cleaning, maybe wash the taco and do an interior clean, monday pack up for a trip, do some shooting club stuff and leave for maine tue morning!!!!!

 

So many reports of false negative & false positive results.... Womans knows. See you on the net! LOL

 

We did the test that takes a few days to get the results back, not the quick one. I think the quick one is the one that's not accurate.

 

what are the symptoms of the engine?

I have a shop I would definitely recommend but they are down in Wilton, probably a solid hour plus travel for you. Precision performance, they know what their doing.

You may want to try here, if the engine is trashed.
IMO, Toyota engines last 200K with some minimum maintenance. (I.E. change the oil and filter every 5K).
And I think an out and in would be cheaper then an out, rebuild it and in...
I may be very wrong , but just saying..
You really need an old guy mechanic, you know the ones with a very gray moustache and who still has a dwell meter in the bottom of his tool box, but is training the young kid who knows what a laptop is.

That place fucking blows! Four weeks to tell me that the motor is shot, and can't be fixed. So I asked how much for a new one, and they said they'd have to research and get back to me early this week. Da fuq?!

You call me to tell me it's shot, but you don't have info on how to fix it? Never going there again. That's for sure.

Working on a swap deal with my buddy, who has a friend that wants to switch mowers with him, and then I'll buy the mower from him while he buys a bigger rider for himself. The machine I'd be getting I've already used one just like it while my buddy and I used to cut grass on the weekends. Fucking loved that machine!
