We have 3 vehicles. My 2006 Tacoma is our weekend fun truck. It is untouchable.
My wife's daily driver is a 2010 I4 Venza. It has 71,000 and has been almost completely trouble free. It is in near mint condition.
My daily driver is a 2013 Subaru Forester. It has 68,000 on it and has had a few service issues but is in great shape. It has been about 50-60% more expensive to maintain to date than the Venza.
We are most likely, for the wife's new daily driver, going to get a new Venza when they hit the Pittsburgh area here soon. My question is....should I get rid of the Venza and drive the Forester or vice versa.
I would be appreciative if you would take the time to give me your opinions and reasoning.

As a Toyota fan, I know what I would do...lol

    Good luck with that decision!

Would you bet on a 10 year old Toyota...or a 7 year old Subaru? The Subaru has already been more expensive to maintain? I know which way we are leaning Would just like a little common sense push in the right direction.... ;)

    Bye Bye 'Baru!

If Toyota was still making the Venza, I probably would have bought one instead of the Tacoma I did buy*. I really liked that car, but apparently I was in the majority as they stopped making it in 2015.

*I hope that doesn't get me kicked off the forum. ;)

I'd ditch the Subaru and keep the current Venza. No need to buy another Venza when the one you have only has 71k miles on it.

I'd ditch the subaru and get a camry or something.

That Subaru has been in my wallet for the last 3 years. Now I have a tensioner squealing. I cant wait to drive something else. I have 4 dealerships going to call me when the new Venza lands. It wont be soon enough

Frame was replaced a month before the deadline...along with most of the suspension, steering rack and pump, alternator, driveshaft, and ALL the fluids. Then I got some 2019 OR takeoffs, a new set of Discoverer AT3 4S, and a new stereo. Its clean as hell and I just passed 100,000 miles. This truck will be in my will.

What are you wanting to daily? Are you planning on having 2 venzas? If it were me, Id ditch the subie and get a 2-seater for the other daily. An 86 or something small and fun. Then you and the wife can fight over who gets to the fun car first.

Ah so you should be good for a while then. I was going to say I would check the frame, because if it was bad I would dump the taco out of the 3.

I would keep the older Venza and ditch the Forester then. The Venza should have a better resale value and is/has been more reliable.

I just noticed that Toyota is reintroducing the Venza, but only as a hybrid. No thanks.

Sell the forester since it will have a larger market and will be an easier sell right before winter.
