So right now i have my 99 tacoma prerunner v6 ex. ca with only a magnaflow catalytic con. and it sounds better has a nice tone, but i want to get an flowmaster 40 or 50 series muffler, now i know that its 2.25 tubing stock , i see mufflers cheap under $50 but with 2.5 tubing and with center/offset since center/center is supposed to fit real easily, . , how did you guys install your aftermarket mufflers ? Pictures? ive seen some mufflers install with center/offset somehow ,

    Thanks

How much louder is the 40 over the 50 series?

I would think it would be a bit louder. I had a super40 last year, it was okay... I like the sound of FM, but FM mufflers have back pressure unlike the magnaflows.:)

Here's my Dynomax ST. Used a center/offset and it worked out fine. Chopped off the stock exhaust pipe after the rear axle and had the old hangers welded on.

Nope. It makes the exhaust sound a bit louder than a side exit just because it's bouncing off the road, but that's it.
