As I said, my (newer) S10 charges through its (thinner) case, while my wife's (older) S8 doesn't through its (thicker) case. The same is true on her BMW's built-in wireless charger - works for my cased phone, but hers has to come out of the case to work. There are at least three variables in play here - The phone's wireless charging system/sensitivity (maybe improved with a newer model), the case's thickness (mitigated with a thinner case), and the charging coils' output strength (maybe improved with a different model).

I received my charger from OP on Friday, but haven't had time to install it yet, so I can't say if/how it works through my phone's case yet.

Yeah I'll check out a thinner case and see if it helps

With all due respect, his PM and posts reference a similar (commercial) product from Scosche, that's unavailable for 6MT console fitment and costs $100 (+S/H, depending on where it's purchased).

I’m sure there are 100 people who would love to buy it off you if you’re really that unhappy with it.

Or keep it and when you get a better phone with a slimmer case, it’ll work!

Well if you’re rally racing I’m sure it’ll fly off out the side window but otherwise the rubber is texturized for non slip.

Appears the Scosche has tabs to help stabilize the phone.

I can say now that it only works without the case on it. My Samsung Galaxy S8 does slide around.

My experience has been all positive. No charging issues with my iPhone 11 with the Apple silicone case on. Additionally, after two days of normal driving my phone has not budged once. YMMV but I've been very pleased with my purchase.

That is my next phone so I hope to say the same. I love the looks, function etc. But carrying a phone nowadays with no case on it, is only asking for damage.

I don’t care how nice it looks outside of its case, rather have it fully protected. I like how solid/heavy the phone feels with a case. OTTERBOX Defender Pro case along with a glass screen protector...lol!

Totally agree, I just went for a 45 minute drive with it on the wireless charger didn't turn blue at all. So even without the case it didn't work. Light just stays red.

Your phone was charging out of the case, now it doesn't? What changed?
