What are you paying for 2020 Tacomas?

Yep and ya no way, there was a $1200 increase in 2017 for the rear power slider alone, then leather and TSS, then LEDs, etc. My fully loaded 17 had an MSRP of $42k as opposed to my loaded 2020 at $44.8k.

 

Guys thanks for the info. I'll see what happens tomorrow. Would they do an order without a deposit? Or is that just wishful thinking?

 

They might, I only put $500 down on mine the one time I "ordered". And no problem, good luck!

Look at these Toyota projections:

"Toyota declined to comment on global production plans for next month, but the company has said it expects global sales will be 15 percent lower in the July-September quarter from last year, and 5 percent lower in October-December. By early 2021, it expects sales will be 5 percent higher on the year. Toyota plans to sell 7.2 million vehicles in the fiscal year to March, down 20 percent from a year ago."

A lot of factors impact that statement (not the US, not trucks, specifically) but that says to me Q1 2021 they expect sales to be up -- meaning production should be up. Worse case scenario, Q2 2021 availability issues should be resolved. I would bet that moves to the left (i.e., Q1) and not the right (Q2).

If you are looking to buy and not in a hurry that seems like when there is a reasonable chance the numbers turn and buyers are in a better position than sellers.

Just bought a 2020 Double Cab V-6 4x4 SR in Colorado today. Had MSRP of 33,828 and had to pay 32,828. They gave me a 1,000 discount and got 1.9% instead of taking the 1,000 rebate. I needed a truck and I dont see there being a huge swing in prices in Denver even when production does come back. To many people buy them here..

wow, that pretty much explains why the dealers in Denver told me to pound sand when I say I'll buy TRD PRO at MSRP, they are asking $5k mark up, and maybe willing to lower to $3k

 

Prob want a deposit. They call it a “good faith deposit”. Understandable as at this point they are putting some work in so they want to make sure you’re not just kicking tires. Contingent upon inspection of vehicle though.

 

4.75% off msrp + rebate (7.25% total) was the best I could do in ohio for trd sport.
Carvana gave me way too much for my 2018, so it works out okay in the end.

 

Key point here is that you needed a truck so you have to do what you have to do! Congrats on the new truck. Enjoy it !

Lost sometimes in the march to save 10% or more is that one of the key reasons demand is so strong is that many people need trucks to do their jobs.

 

In the northeast, slim pickings in area. Got what I was looking for but had to go with premium tech package that I wasn't interested in. Went with 1.9% apr over $1k discount, could only get dealer down $1k off msrp. Feel like I should've been able to do better in this climate, but wanted the truck asap and got tired of searching.

 

They don’t budge much here either

 

TRD Pro's have the extra $5,000 price because people will not walk away.

 

Just bought a TRD Sport 4x4 for $34,207. Sticker was $38,547. In Daytona Beach.

 

Do you include distributor port options when calculating the % off MSRP? for example, power tailgate lock, carpet mats, etc.

 

OR or Sport, location, MSRP, any dealer add-on

 

I got my Tacoma about a week ago. 2020 Sport/Access Cab/Manual with floor mats and mudguards being the only options/accessories. List was $36,800. I got it for $37k after taxes/fees (except registration.) I'm no negotiator, but given the amount of searching I did for this truck (and seeing the depleted stock at basically every dealership,) I am happy.

 

Seattle area, MSRP of 37+. Asked for 34,900 and got it.
TRD Off Road with 6 Spd manual, Cement/Cement with LED's and all-weather door sills. Got it in Tacoma, should pick up today or tomorrow!!!!
