    I have mods
Gotcha. I prefer the eimkeith ones, they are better made and offer more protection and better angles.

He doesn't need them, at least not with the route he's taking with his rig (future mods that is)

The lower link mounts have been known to get caught up on rocks and stuff when crawling over obstacles.

They get banged up real bad even.

The mount reinforcements are a sort of "skid" and allows obstacles to just glide over said mount. Nothing sticks out for anything to catch on.

It was a diesel! My number one favorite even though it was an auto. I was going to tak we the engine out of that jetta and put it in the body of a 87 VW cabriolet I had. Then I was going to take the body and mount it to the drive train and frame of a 85 jeep CJ5 I got for 500 bucks.

I got so far as collecting all the parts and the jetta got totaled. Instead of sinking on the insurance money into that project. I sold everything and packed up my life and moved west

3rd gen 4Runner's have very weak lower links. The link mount itself is also weak. That's why @eimkeith designed the link re-enforcement. The stock LCA's are plenty strong. The main advantage to spending the money on Solo LCA's is to move the LBJ location forward about 3/4". That and SPC uppers allow you to push the tires way forward. That then presents it's own set of challenges. You can tub less on the firewall but it puts you in major contact with the upper fender wells.

Here's the stock link after a trip up Claw Hammmer:

    Here's the new lower links.

Here's the lower link re-enforcement pre-weld. The fit is damn near perfect.

I've broken a lot of shit on my rig. I'm still in the stock LCA's though. I have changed the bushings a few times. I also got rid of the weak ass eccentric bolts with these bad boys.

I'm intrigued by those cam bolt upgrades ... doesn't that take away any adjustment?
