Sort of. The alignment cam eliminator plates give you 3 positions. Inboard, neutral, and outboard. When you go to larger tires the goal is to push the tire further forward to clear the firewall. If you look at anyone's alignment the stock cams will almost always be inboard on the front and outboard on the rear. That's how I set the plates. I also have SPC arms. They allow me to adjust caster and camber via the UCA. Here's my numbers after alignment.

    Camber L -.65
    Camber R -.72

    Castor L 2.10
    Castor R 2.27

I have my camber set negative on purpose. I wheel a lot and my outer lugs are much more useful to me. Setting camber negative puts the wear more towards the inner side. My rig tracks perfectly straight and has no return to center issues. I used to knock my alignment out every time I wheeled. Since putting the plates on 3 months ago it hasn't moved once.

Thank you for that extremely informative response! I'm guessing a double benefit is you never have to pay for an alignment lol

    Do you trailer your rig?

I drive my rig to the trail and I drive it home. It's been on a flat bed once in 3 years and that was the Claw Hammer incident. I field repaired that lower link with a 16" pry bar my buddy had. Then a few ratchet straps to hold it together. Then a shit ton of gorilla tape. That allowed me to drive 15 miles back to the road. I thought about driving the 200 miles home but if that repair failed it would have been bad. I called AAA and got home via them. lol

    I have mods
It's basically a grade 8 bolt with an offset drilled plate for adjustment. It's not a bad idea but does limit fine adjustment of the alignment that the tradition round cam bolts would provide.

I think some people might do this instead of using the cam tab gussets or doing both. Definitely would help prevent bending them and losing alignment. Those square plates look to be about 1/4" thick.

Personally, since I still daily drive my 4th gen, I'd do the cam tab gussets or what I'm actually going to do is the Marlin LCA frame brace that also integrates cam tab gussets. I've already got them, just need to install them. Waiting until I rebuild the front suspension with new bushings and everything else since you need to remove the LCAs so you don't melt the bushings when you weld the gussets in place.

Would have. At the time I didn't have a field weld kit in the rig. I do now.

How to fix sheared LBJ bolts the correct way.
