Some people try to solve outlier problems, and that's why these issues come up. It's trial and error. Sometimes lessons are expensive!

It might be a bit naive, but this has me thinking about a preventative fix for undamaged Tacos? A couple formed metal pieces and a structural epoxy to sandwich it? It looks like there are a couple holes for fasteners and fender washers?

This might also be a possible route for the OP if the crack can be pulled back together?

I think after awhile u just chase your tail. All the structure through there is super thin. U reinforce one area then it transfers to the core support etc. Only real way to do it is reinforce the whole thing.

Or put the weight somewhere else. Or don’t add weight that isn’t absolutely necessary.

only realistic option is take in to few Auto body shops for estimates and get it done right, cant really repair a torn panel like that

Replace it with a new core, then reinforce that, but even then I bet your going to get tears somewhere else and its just going to be a nice circle of what to patch next. These trucks are made of paper.

I agree with the dual battery aspect in that location, but this was with just one AGM battery. Good luck @littlefish , I hope there is a cheaper fix than what we can see. @EatSleepTacos might you have any idea on a way to fix or reinforce the area?

    Coincidence....I think not!

Depends on driving too though. If the thing is getting trashed and jumped and beat to death because “airing down is dumb you lose clearance” and “I don’t need gears I have a super charger”, shits probably gonna break anyway. Haha

That is the point. Reinforce enough of the area that the load is spread out. Just need a good model of that area.

I haven't a clue. I have a 67 pound 27F battery in stock location and haven't had any issues, knock on wood. I have some cracking in the radiator support area, but nothing remotely close to this.

I don't need 2 batterys and a new ripped front end repair bill, starts fine with the dinky battery it came with.
