Interesting, i figure their lawyers (uscca) are typically well versed in firearms laws and cases so theyd handle things just fine. But i dunno, im just a deplorable american citizen lol

A friend of mine went back to his house to get more stuff as the fires are getting closer. He was packed and leaving and the CHP pulled him over and wrote him a ticket. I'm sure it had more to do with sending a message but jeez. Have a little compassion.

That's such BS. Tell him he should fight it in court and make sure the officer is there. I can almost guarantee the judge rips the cop a new asshole.

My taco came with them, as well. First thing to go. Sold them for a 100 bucks. Got BAMF sliders, following.

Here in California, the perp has more rights than the victim.

Its definitely a slippery slope either way you look at it. Even with the best insurance/lawyers, having to deal with THAT headache on top of dealing with the trauma related to the actual shooting would make for a wild ride. When I left the CC course after the last day, I almost didn't want to even bother with carrying anymore because of how intimidating the responsibility was. Of course that thought quickly left my head and I was carrying as soon as I got the approval from the SO, but I learned so much out of that course that I had no clue about previously. It really shaped the way I viewed the privilege of being able to carry lawfully and what my responsibility was as a private citizen with a gun on my hip.

Took the Taco into Livermore Toyota to change out the fluids in the difs, and t-case. Was going to do it myself but it’s just been too crazy lately. Also, wanted them to look at an oil leak. Still under warranty so why not.
    Here’s the leak.

You can see a drip forming in the middle. It feels like oil. But they’re telling me it’s an outer axel seal. And said the other side needs replacing, as well. It’s under warranty so fine. I make an appointment. But it looks like oil, not grease. What am I missing. Also told that lift, and big tires, enhance wear of axel seals. Is that true?

@Katchaser00 Hows your shooting skill, and draw from the holster. If you wanna shoot someday, I was an RSO/Instructor in NSW, and civilian shooting school.

Based on location alone, I'd guess it's gear oil leaking from the seal at the diff to CV axle. I carry a few of those seals around in the 4Runner since it's a pretty easy seal to swap and they can get messed up pretty easily depending on how delicate you are with pulling and replacing CVs.
    Have you swapped CVs recently?

No swap. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to have those replaced while they're at it. Only 63,500 miles on the truck.

Can't remember, have you regeared? If so and you're on Nitro's, they use a super thick oil weight with their diff fluid = could be a tell tale sign of what's actually leaking but my guess is still the front diff where the CV goes in.

And yet, they changed the oil in the front dif knowing it had a leak. Why not wait until after the seals are replaced?

Since it's warranty work, you're probably right. Since they're in there, should I replace the CV boots?

That would be on you. Meaning not covered by warranty. Now, any labor that's overlapping with the work you're having done would be covered. In theory, if they have to pull the CV to do the seal, then the only labor you should be liable for is the replacement of the boot.

Oh, I understand that part. But might be worth it. And I have a spare outer boot in the garage. OEM.

Looks like we're getting a little breather here in Oakland. Onshore breeze pushing the crap east towards Modesto. No charge Matt. @Uphillshunter

Might be worth it. Like I had a leak and just replaced both CV axles with new ones.
