Hey tacomaworld, is there a good writeup for swapping in a Jacobs Radial-755 engine? Need to get that monster torque and the sound to prove it.

 

You gotta go to +4 fenders in the rear. Once your truck is Dummy Thiccc its fenders will clap.

Just a bit of friendly advice.

Save your $$ and DON'T do any modifications. Pay no attention to the rednecks rolling in their wrecks.

Spend your earnings on getting it running correctly and reliably or making needed repairs.

You will only run in this ride for a few years, then you'll want something else.

You bought a $100 ride with 3 wheels heading for the crusher and the 4th wheel was slipping. Makes no sense to lift it or do mods.

Please don't waste time "squatting or clapping" it. You will destroy the handling and likely consume more gas while getting nothing. Not to mention, the local LEO could slam you with equipment tickets.

 

OP, there is absolutely nothing on this planet that can make a normal V6 sound good. Nothing. At all. Ever. Period. The only 6 cylinder engines that even approach a level of decent are highly tuned, specialized engines in high performance, generally exotic, applications. I dumped an unreasonable amount of money into my first 2nd Gen trying to make it sound good. The best I was able to accomplish was a tone similar to an asthmatic Jag.

 

Needs more Supercharger.


OP needs Chop, not clap. V8 swap and cams.

 

That Whipple whine sounds amazing, exhaust note still sounds like a fart blown through a trumpet.

 

The OP can hardly buy a full tank of gas.......how is a supercharger mod going to be in his budget?????

If you want it to whine, just zip tie a cat to the radiator fan......prolly more of a high pitched yowl.

 

We can only get so much... Just muffle the exhaust and enjoy the Whipple.

 

You need to get a Ford 5.2 w the FPC and swap it in.
