The winch one - you mean that thread where the guy is arguing that a < 3K pound ATV winch is better than a > 8k pound truck winch lol.

 

Where the hell have I been

 

Its somewhere on the forum...just started this AM or yesterday I can't remember. His argument is that bigger winches are just for looks and anyone serious about winching should just get an ATV winch, keep it in the tool kit and use it when needed by doubling, tripling or quadrupling the line.

I get the logic but it's not practical at all, not to mention ATVs have way shorter cables so you'd have to be really close to whatever you're pulling if you're going to be doubling the line

OP started it when he said he wanted to give his truck the clap. There was no going upward from there.

 

That was me back when I ran the local Miller Jeep Trail when my truck was all stock, because a buddy I was with told me he remembered it being easy.

Told me halfway through the trail that the last time he did it was 20 years ago on a dirt bike, I learned to be more critical of others' opinions on trails after that lol.

Was still a lot of fun though, got lucky the PO installed a t-case skid because I bent the hell out of it on that trip. Was rubbing the transfer case on the way home making all kinds of fun sounds.

 

I'm glad I don't have friends

I normally don't do comic book hero movies but I love the more reality-based/dark twist they put on the Batman ones, like Chris Nolan's versions.
