Nugget gets to go on her first big adventure to the vet today!
And every single person has asked me "you bring your chickens to the vet?" Not usually, but shes my favorite one.

Yea an accessory.
And a darn good one.

 

Waste of two hours. Dropped her off at the front door because of the covid bs and had to wait in the truck. They call stating her crop cultures were slightly high with yeast but otherwise fine and that she had nodules in her tummy and it may be a blockage or reproductive but they weren't sure and that "euthanasia is her best option". Didn't offer an xray, bloodwork, literally any further diagnosis other than lumps and to kill her.
She just ate some crumbles and drank a bunch of water in a box on my desk at work (I do what I want..) and I had to physically force her to lay down and chill because she's still strong as hell so she's now taking a nap. Never bringing any of my animals to that place again, ever.

 

Geez....that's tough. Sorry buddy. We had a difficult situation with a cat several years ago. There was no easy answer for her health decline. Our vet is a very kind human being. He told us that animals don't understand the quantity of life. They only understand the quality of life. A decision to end an amimal's suffering can be an act of kindness often times.

Hopefully you can get a 2nd opinion and they can offer you some answers. Thinking about you sista.

 

Took it out on it's maiden voyage.....a mixture of city driving with some deliberate tight turns and highway speeds. Bikes were rock solid.

Already have a place in the corner of the garage to store it when it's not in the bed.

Evenin everyone. 4 day weekend coming to an end. Too bad. But it's been a good one

 

Enjoy it while you can. Before you know it winter will be here.

You probably never seen snow before, down south.

 

I don't mind cool weather. The fall is my favorite time of year....especially when we get into October and November.

We do get snow down this way....and occasionally quite a bit. But generally winters are pretty mild....and seem to be getting milder as time passes.

Never even had my snow tires on last winter.



Proof we do get snow though. This was the result of driving 25 miles home in 15" 3 years ago.
