@ovrlndkull I bought my streamline aluminum last summer and I am about to finally add a winch. Any chance I can have a set of the reinforcement brackets sent to me?

Does anyone know if the Comeup DV-12s light or Seal Slim 12.5rs
will fit the streamline? They both have a 10x4.5 mounting bolt pattern and non-intergrated solenoid for those that are unfamiliar with them...

I would definitely appreciate all relevant info from anyone with the streamline that has mounted a large winch...

Thanks and have a safe weekend!

Is there an option that doesn’t have any cutting at all? I am looking for an option that I can 100% go back to stock later. I know the Victory 4x4 doesnt cut but want to evaluate a few other options.

We cut the minimal amount, but no cutting at all would be difficult with a winch in there.

Ya I know that needs cutting but can be put back. I don’t want to cut the color part.

Steel SOS Streamline bumper w Smittybilt X20 10K winch on my 2020 TRD. As previously mentioned, the (2) 1/8" sheet metal mounting flanges for the OEM Toyota crash bumper were not designed for winching. I have worked rescue/recovery after hurricanes/tornadoes in the past so decided to beef up the OEM bumper mounting design as best as I could. The SOS horizontal and vertical bolt-on reinforcements and the 3/16" weld-on plates were added. I also thru-bolted the bottom of the SOS bumper flange to the Tacoma sub-frame in back of it. This winch bumper installation is now as capable as I can make it. Very nice welding on the SOS bumper itself. But the stock 3rd gen Tacoma front bumper mounting flanges need to be reinforced for any serious winching IMO.

    SOS Streamile w Smittybilt X20 10K w reinforcements (3).jpg

I made a steel sandwich to reinforce the weak 1/8" sheet metal bumper attachment flanges on this 2020 TRD. Below on the left shows it assembled and the individual parts are on the right. If you do not reinforce the factory bumper attachment with at least 1 extra reinforcement per side, your winching capability will be limited to very simple pulls IMO. HTH

Great job Eddy @SOS CONCEPTS, this is almost exactly what I'm looking for! I won't install a winch since I don't go offroad at all. Will you build a custom one with a 20" lightbar cutout, with a place to mount a front license plate flush, without the winch trapezoidal cutouts?
