it was driving into the belly of a dragon. very gloomy, stuff still on fire. one road cyclist thought it would be a good idea to ride thru it. full spandex.

My sister was evacuated from Bolinas yesterday. :fingerscrossed: For everyone at risk from these fires! The thunderstorms were cool, but damn they wrecked havoc!

I am about 7-10 miles south from where the Lake Fire started, and about 20 miles to the east of the fire in Piru. Everything is ashy when the wind blows this way, and the air quality sucks.

Evacuated from hidden valley lake, part of the LNU complex. Hanging out with 1 dog, 2 cats, 2 humans in a studio apartment in Napa. I was at work while this was happening, so I only have 1 outfit. Fun times!

Darn, can you guys put out those fires? North Palisades, the third highest peak in the Sierras, at 14,200 feet and I am only 18 miles away at 4000 feet - can't see a f'ing thing but brown air. The whole Owens Valley sky is a unicolor tan clear out to the White Mountains.

We left from Hidden Valley Lake as well. Sounds like they're cutting fire lines around our neighborhood perimeter as best they can. Fingers crossed we make it through the next couple of days. Could do without more lightening though.

I'm in the flats, I don't think they did any fire lines in my area.

I'm on Spyglass. I did see that they cut a line on the edge of the cow pasture where the valley oaks project will be built. I hope we get through this.

We were evacuated last Tuesday at 11pm then we got evacuated from our first hotel on Friday. It will be a week of living in hotels tomorrow and they say to expect several weeks to possibly over a month if our house survives which seems likely at this point. Not fun!

I hope you’re able to return very soon!

I’m over off summit road about a mile from 17 in Melody Woods. Last week was some scary stuff.

We are expecting our evacuation to be lifted in the next day or two. We probably won't have power for at least another couple of weeks and we are waiting to see if our water will be indefinitely contaminated. Not fun stuff but we have a few friends that lost their houses so it could have been a lot worse.

Bad in SF still. Even the fog isn't helping. This was yesterday driving across the top of the bay on 37.
