How secure are the handles? Hanging an 8-9lb lithium ion fan on it for my dog.

I must say, I love that the dog has 2 fans.

If it isn't sagging and looking like its going to rip off, I think its good.

I can yank pretty good on my front grab handle and be confident it is not coming off.

Pretty sure they're meant for people to help get in and hang on to, a fan won't compromise it at all

Ok. Was just concerned since it’s not meant for continued pressure, 9lbs hanging in it all day may eventually pry it loose.

If it’s definitely secure I’m adding some back-ups. That dogs in truck 8hrs and I’m in and out truck all day. Don’t want some Dudley Doright calling animal control.

Add as many fans as you want. If it gets hot in the truck it'll make a convection oven, not keep your dog alive.

Yes. The fans will work. I’ve got a white truck first of all which helps allot. Second, all windows, including back slider will be open at least 2/5 way. Third, he’s only in there for 15 min stretches until truck rolling again.

Kids hang on the handles all the time, if it can hold them swinging around and horse playing. Not to mention them being 50-60 pounds. The little fan should be alright.

If you are only stopped and out of the truck for 15 minutes, then leave it running with the AC on. The AC coupled with the fans and drinking water for the dog should keep him cool out of heat trouble.

You realize fans don't cool the air and dogs cool themselves via panting. So unless you are blowing air across his tongue you really aren't doing much to cool him down. Best will be windows down - which looks like you have covered - to keep the truck from turning into an oven. Keep a water dish handy too. Good luck with The pup!

Here the final setup for the day. I know some you say fans don’t help but circulating air and wind is always beneficial.
