So one post stated that the 2010 and up OEM CD players fit with the older wiring harnesses.

Anyone know what new features they added over the older OEM stereos?

A 6 disc OEM radio with the RDS radio info would be awesome, really all I am missing. Only looking to a JBL for that one feature.

I just upgraded from the '07 JBL to '11 JBL. It was practically free so I figured I couldn't go wrong, but I am curious what the different features are (besides the shape of the buttons).

Thanks, back to the other non OEM options. Damm toyota for making the JBL so hard to add if you didn't get it. Just want something with RDS info that is built as strong and looks as good as stock.

What is RDS? I thought that was the radio station info (artist, song, station identifier) that was displayed across the LCD? My 07 JBL stereo has that information and always thought that was RDS? Someone please clarify this for me?

I'm telling you that my 2007 JBL Stereo shows station info. I will post a picture tonight.

I know the JBL OEM radios have this. I love the stock look and happy with my OEM other than lack of RDS support, the problem is that the non OEM wiring harness will not work with the OEM JBL and vice versa. I have not read of a single post that someone has successfully added a JBL system to a non JBL system. You would have to run wires to the back, add an amp and sub, nobody has done it.

Part of me wants to try, but it doesn't seem worth it. Thanks for the offer.

I still want the bluetooth controls on the steering wheel, at some point Ill see a HU I really like and go for it. The Pioneers just dont seem to fit the dash and OEM look as well as the stock units, even if they sound better and have more features.

some of this, a little of that
My '08 has RDS and you are not missing much, at least around here. There is only a handful of stations that use it and half the time it is screwed up. Also having to hold the button to scroll through the text is annoying and takes way too long.

I would love to see those pics.
It had been posted in other threads that the 2011 has RDS – but I want to see proof.
I was at the Stealership today picking up my 2010 DBL sport LB – getting the TSB springs done- YEA!
I had my salesman pull a set of keys to a new 2011 w/JBL. We ran thru the stations and never saw any radio data pop up on the display – so if your claiming that you 2011 JBL replacement can – I wanna see those pics please.
