Lots of respectable Tacomas been hit by trains! Besides, what was I supposed to tell my insurance? That it was sent to the body shop and I filed a claim from shame?”

The train story is more believable in my opinion.

You call it jabs & I call it motivation. But I guess I am the only one that sees the motivational power behind it :anonymous:

Im interested to see how this kit works out. I just used straight OEM replacements. I don't know how I timed my garage day like I did when I cut mine out. It was downright pleasant...in the mid 60's. We probably won't see temps like that again until Halloween.

And I've been putting it off since long before then. I'm jealous of your timing

Just judging by the pics, the two won't play well together because the poly tabs have that little kick out on the bottom.

Good call. I thought I had seen reference to someone rocking that combo, not just theorizing, but the pictures are pretty damning. Prob why @Andy@Poly references the TC tab reinforcements quite often.

Only way I could see it happen is to shave off those legs, but meh. I would (and do) just pair them with the TC tabs.

Was questioning if my 6 amp HF sawzall would do the job. @08TRDOFFROAD gave me the tiniest push I needed to get a better one I know would do the job. 12 amps of Milwaulkee power makes me feel a little better about getting it done quick since its my one and only vehicle.

Yassss this is the same saw I have and it's an absolute beast. You lean into that thing and it'll just hunker down and rip through whatever you're cutting.

Now all I need is a set of jackstands and we're good to go!

I turned mine back in last weekend, and of course now the big red ones I wanted are sold out everywhere. Knew I should have bought them last week. :frusty:
