I'm still curious though, if I've purchased the "tune pack" and used my credits to unlock my 04A61 ECU, will the "tune pack" also be available for the any new ECUs that I unlock with additional credits?

Sorry if this has already been answered, but I can't seem to find the answer by searching. I haven't really used VF Tuner yet since I'm still waiting for the final versions of the tune pack to come out before I try editing anything.

You can still flash 2.0 and get to liking the drive. The final/ultimate/excelsior tune for the AT is just the editable versions of what's already out.

All in favor of eliminating all confusion about final final final AT editable super elite goldstar platinum plus and just calling it Excelsior say 'aye'.

How about: The Next AT Release? It will be the Final / Actual. End of Line.

Editable files plus Perf, Tow, GL, and possibly Tune Switching. But yeah, mainly options built on the top of 2.0 Base.

Not gonna lie, I initially thought that you thought I was referring to the existing uneditable AT release instead of the editable one on the horizon. Such is the confusion.

Thanks. I already have the most recent 2.0 on my 2018. So if I unlock the ecu for my buddy's 2019, I'll be able to update his truck for just the cost of credits ($75)?

I've downloaded VF and FM, done all the driver updates, as well as tried downloading them straight from the tacrix website. The flash tool in VF still shows blank. Any ideas? The tactrix driver should show up before I actually plug it into the truck, correct?

You do need to plug the Tactrix into the USB port for the drivers to register.

ECU 04A61 here. I am one who had never quite found a tune that suited my shifting tastes. I've spent the last couple weeks tweaking the stock tune shift tables, torque converter lock / unlock tables, and throttle limit by gear tables. My tune is nothing close to polished yet, but I am happy to report I've got my truck running in a manner that I am finally happy with. Making the throttle limit tables identical for all gears has made a HUGE upgrade in my enjoyment of driving the truck. I have my truck shifting when I think it should, and the power output seems to smoothly blend from one gear to the next. It's predictable. The sky is the limit with this software. I am having a blast driving my truck, listening to it, trying to learn what it needs to perform how I want it to. Maybe even more engaging than my old MTs were... :anonymous: Now I just need to unlearn my instinct to expect stupidity out of my truck.

BIG THANKS TO OVTUNE for making it so easy for me to make such a huge upgrade in my enjoyment of my truck! If y'all could have seen my smile cruising the cornfields this morning :)

That’s the hardest part of the tune, unlearning all how to drive around the crappy stock tune.

Does anyone know anything new about disabling DFCO or the odd behavior off the throttle between 1,000-1,500 RPMS? Gets pretty old for me personally.

That should be 1st gear only. Closer to 1,200. 2nd through 6th are near idle.

Before 2.0, I used to downshift to 1st a lot. Now with the code in 2.0, I leave it in 2nd until near idle. Less than 8mph.

I also found in stop-n-go traffic, 1st is much better and consistent. Although, I would love to find that solution for 1st gear as well as the option to kill the anti-stall function.
