3D printed wireless charger for 2nd gen

    No idea I just pulled it all apart, pulled out the charger and with a dry microfiber towel wiped the 3 coils. Put it all back together, Anna not works instantly with our without the case. So fuck it for whatever reason it works as it should now.

    Sounds like your issue is definitely the case and age of the phone. I don't have an otterbox defender pro but it sounds pretty bulky especially combined with the abilities of an s8. I saw some others mention theirs is charging no problem with an otterbox case.

    How does your phone do charging regular desktop wireless chargers with that case?

    Pretty dumb design tho considering the ranges in size of phones. So if your phone is too big it doesn’t fit and if it’s too small it will still slide around some.

    My guess for the scosche is that it's only a single coil charger which is why the tabs are there. Plus seeing as they're only like a half of an inch away from the sides. It is kind of dumb (and ugly imo haha) especially with phone sizes these days. The reason I went with these three coil chargers is for that reason, anywhere I toss my phone on the bezel it will charge.

    Looks like they redesigned it to accommodate larger phones by moving the tabs further out.

    My phone now works flawlessly with the Defender Pro case on. Start the truck, place it on. Boom turns blue and charging

    Just so I didn't jinx myself. I just went out started her up and placed it on the charger with the full case on. Works perfectly as it should.

    Got my kit today! Thanks for the quick shipping! Everything looks awesome! Is anyone else struggling to get the curved clear piece into the little grey lego hole? Can't wait to plug it all in and give it a whirl! Thanks @ThreatLevelMidnight for what looks to be an awesome product! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

    Edit: Whelp, definitely snapped both the curved clear piece and the small gray piece into pieces trying to get them to fit together. Probably user error. I'll just forgo the led light for now until i can figure something out. Be careful putting those pieces together!
