I can't leave anything well enough alone
In the factory Tundra exhaust setup, do the manifolds from each side of engine come straight to the muffler, with one side being way longer and crossing over, essentially acting like 2 independent 4 cylinder exhausts until the muffler connects them into one 2.5" outlet pipe? Or is there any kind of crossover tube? If the muffler acts as the merge, that would be an awfully long tube length for the y-pipe?

Just curious about how the tundra exhaust is from the factory.

I have been talking to a guy about making a fuse plate that fits around the resi (at least on an AT setup). If I get it going Ill share with the group. I had the same issue but ended up putting a dual battery setup on the other side so that was not an option for me.

I still have not relocated my aux. Part of it is zip-tied on there for now to power the key items.

That may work but you may end up with air pockets in an undesired location.

How hard is it to access the lid? Do you have to pull the grill?
There have been very few reported failures with the S/C system, one is either running low on coolant or the pump failing. I like to check the level and see the coolant move on a regular basis. My two pennies...

Lid is right there behind the grill. This was taken before I finished up, but you can check and fill with the grill installed

I got a power tray and cut a notch out the back so it fits next to the reservoir. Looks like it will work with my shiny new coolant reservoir too!

I've been with this thread since day one, but never posted anything. I've been supercharged since 2012 and have gone through the whole rabbit hole of upgrades. Currently running 2.5" pulley with full exhaust and being at sea level pushing 9-9.5 psi. I had the apr x1 originally and truck never ran like I thought it should. Got the ucon in 2016 and what a night and day experience that was. Truck ran 99% better, much smoother, no violent bucking while cruising at 55 mph! I was running the Ucon with the FPR mod for two years and because of some weird quirks I took the time and did tons of reading and went over my whole system. Came across a post where Gadget from urd said "NOT" to do the FPR mod with the Ucon so I removed that and what do you know - I have finally reached a happy Nirvana with how well my truck jams.

When i first installed the ucon I was averaging 14.9 mpg, when I removed the FPR mod I also installed new NGK Iridium 6619. After my first five fill ups I was averaging 16.3 mpg. It's hard to say if it was the plugs, FPR mod removal, or both - but it is rocking. Now - keeping an eye out on the next cam group buy.

Great to see that you've been following the thread and doing your mods!!

@12TRDTacoma has really compiled some amazing stuff here, he's truly a hero for us :D

Glad to see another UCon, mine has always treated me well and is treating me VERY well since I installed new headers and camshafts. Some people like to sh!t on that unit but it's been great for me.

Interesting that you say the FPR mod didn't work for you. I've always ran the FPR mod and been all right with it.

Actually the main issue that seemed to have been remedied was when i was in boost at partial or half throttle and when you lightly let off the gas sometimes I would hit a dead spot, kind of like the engine would go flat for a split second. Since removing the FPR mod I really don't experience it anymore. Did you work with urd to tune in the cams or does it self tune those too?

Interesting. Well, hesitation could be from a variety of things (I used to have it as well but that was before UCon). Sounds like you've done the right mods in any case to make that go away.

So far the UCon has been adapting on its own. I'm going to data collect later this week and send to Scott and we'll see if he raises an eyebrow or not.

isnt the s/c coolant resi supposed to be the highest point in the coolant loop? I think i remember reading this somewhere, like Dwayne said, to keep air pockets out

It's easier to flush out all the air if it is the highest point in the loop.
