Buy a stand a learn. It can be a little tricky to get right but then you never have to worry about it. Fortunately fixing the limits on the derailleur are pretty easy. Check this out

Either your derailleur indexing is off, or your hanger is bent (especially if you took a crash or hit the derailleur against something, then i'd wager that your hanger is bent). don't let the chain go into the spokes. That's how you break spokes and chains. Also, check your limit screws once you get everything indexed. If you don't know what you're doing. Any reputable shop will be able to fix that for you fairly quickly.

    Yes. I like that one.

lolol. that's a good one. I always forget that specialized has their own tire brands. same with trek and giant. :/

First off sweet set up! I’m in a similar situation to what started this. Got a camper shell and don’t really want to go the hitch rack route as it’ll make it difficult for the four legged passengers to hop in the bed.
So my questions to you sir are which bike rack are you using on your roof rack? Did you have to modify anything for compatibility? And lastly do you have any clearance issues parking in the garage (without the bike of course) lol??
    Thanks in advance.

I only use 1 UP USA racks. I have the trays as seen here on my Prinsu, they clamp right on to the square bars. I also have the hitch rack on my T4R. No clearance issues unless you fail to remove the bike before you go in a garage, then you’re in for a bad time.

Assegai DH in the rear? Yikes. Heavy, slow, soft.
I wish they offered the Dissector in DD and terra instead of soft. That would be a kick ass rear enduro tire. For now, the DD Aggressor has been great. Not Rocky Mountain proof, but damn good.

Yeah. Heavy, slow, grippy...makes my slow ass even slower uphill. but I can take corners on the downhills really well! That's why I want to swtich it up here pretty soon. Move it to teh front and put on the brand new dhr-2 exo+ that I have chilling on the rear. I've had that combo before and it's been great (Excep the exo+. previously only had exo and i've ripped up two tires because....yeah...)

My new Spur came with a Dissector 2.4 up front and it has worked pretty well on the dry rocks of Arizona. I haven't had it slide out on any turn yet, so no complaints yet. I'll have more types of terrain to report on after hitting NM, CO, AR, TN, and NC next month.

How’s that ride working out so far? Does it handle steeper technical terrain like the geometry numbers suggest it will?

So far so good on the southern AZ stuff. I'll be sure to report back after my upcoming trip across the country, though.

The more I look at the Dissector’s tread pattern the more I want to try it up front. I’m getting new wheels put on Saturday and if the bike shop has a 2.4 3c/Exo/Tr in stock I’ll most likely get it.

Which Colorado trails are you planning to ride?

Unfortunately, I will only have one day to enjoy a single decent loop in the front range areas, and the terrible fires have limited the choices a bit. Right now, I'm leaning toward something like Little Scraggy Loop out near Bailey, or similar, and camping at Kelsey Campground. Do you happen to live somewhere close to there?

Exo+ is great for Utah trails. I'm experimenting with an Assegai 2.6 and Dissector 2.6, both in Exo+ on the trail bike. Working great. Noticeably lighter than the DD.

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you yet buddy. Life's super craze right now with school starting. Are you riding the Spur, or something a little more aggressive?
Nothing wrong with Buff Creek, really fun trail system. I was just trying to get you more up there, in elevation, so you can see some of the amazing CO views.
If it's at all possible, the Kenosha/Breck ride is awesome. Not sure if it's in your comfort level.

Unrelated to the above but I loved your 2020 Django review. I feel like this bike needs a fine tuned DPX2 in the rear. I'm glad I'm not crazy for considering a 150mm fork for mine.

Little Scraggy is a fun loop. Flowy, not to technical, climb is kind of boring, the descent is fun, scenic. If you like or are looking for technical climbs, rock gardens, and a level up or two of fun and challenge on the descent I would look for a different trail or area.
