It's less Tacoma and more mod
I ran that t case mount on my last truck, thing is great, drivetrain was super firm after some poly engine mounts. And as a bonus you can push it all up and have a flat belly

This is what I was going to say. The other video here just sounded like straight pipes, or close to it. What @bullaculla did was the same thing essentially.
You could just unbolt the exhaust from the headers and you're there. Stick a cheap bit of curved pipe from your local parts store to direct the exhaust out from underneath.

It's cheap and if you don't like it you can just put it back together. Might be some legal issues running open like that though, so check your local laws.

Lots of opinions , advise :gossip: and haters :smack: on here. We all like to poke at each other! :boink:
Do what you want to do, it is your truck. (Like we haven't heard that before)

I will offer my advise and say that you should consider holding off on doing any modifications that are irreversible, keep your old parts around just in case. If anything goes wrong you have yourself covered.
Be 1,000% sure before you make a modification you cannot take back.

    Other than that, go ham.

I would think it would be real young adults that would do this and I do have a couple of thoughts. If your high school kid that lives at home with you why as parents wouldn't you teach them to respect your neighbors and not annoy them, I no growing up there would be no way my parents would allow it. And if your neighbor has a job that has you sleeping in the evening so they can go to work I'm sure they won't appreciate it. Just my $.02

I've got neighbors that have obnoxious vehicles a super loud sound systems and super loud exhaust. My roommate and I are both really good shots and we are very tempted about three nights a week to put an end to some of those vehicles. Midnight is not the time for me to be hearing drum and bass or crappy ass exhaust. Lol
