Not salty, just don’t understand since it is simply a matter of personal preference. If it makes you feel better, I’ll vote cement, but if I were you, I’d just get whatever color you like best.

Quicksand, cause it is the color of the MesoMachine.

Seriously, I grew to really love this color.
Also Quicksand really represents where all my money is going.

Jokes aside, Quicksand wasn't my first choice, it wasn't even on the list to begin with. It was White, MGM or Inferno. Didn't want a truck also, wanted to get a cheap Corolla or Yaris, so I can save up for my dream car. However, Mom insisted the next vehicle in the family had to be a truck, that was lucky me...

Me being uninterested, she went and signed up for a 2018 White SR5 I4 DCSB. Really did not want it... We finished paper works, insurance and everything else, except for my final signature.

As I wait, sipping my coffee on the showfloor, my supposed truck rolls up, but right behind it was the last 2017 Quicksand that just came out of storage. Asked my dealer, was it taken? it was not; How much more, $1k over my SR5.
    DSC_1885-01-01.jpg
Right then and there, I paid the difference, he changed a couple details on the papers and gave my signature. All done in about 30 minutes. Mom came back shocked, displease and disappointed. idk, she wanted the SR5, just because it was a 2018 model year.

Since that fated day, I have loved this color.

TLDR: past/present/future, Quicksand is the one to be.

Thanks for your vote! I’m only doing it as to see what color people gravitate more too. I’m always thinking outside of the box, if I decide to sale the truck in the future, at least I know what color they like now. I truly love both colors, it seems like the quicksand is either you love or hate, the cement is a neutral color that people won’t mind settling with.

Originally I wanted QS, but ended up with Cement because it was the only MT available around. So glad i did end up with Cement. I find if yoi like black, it just goes so well with Cement.

I like the Tan, but come on! Look at THIS!!!!! You HAVE to see the metallic flake while in the sun on this Cement before you decide! I thought the Cement was flat. When I saw it up close and saw the flake I was really impressed. Either way, congrats on getting to shop for another Tacoma. 061D2E1F-14FD-4B02-B932-B9B975DE3AC5.jpg

Kind of what I was alluding to, its really not that great of a deal when you think about, unless of course you are just wanting a newer truck later. So for instance on my 2020, I got $35k trade for my 19 loaded w/6k miles, paid $39k for the 2020 with a $44.8k MSRP, so $5.8k. In the current market if I were to pay MSRP for the new truck and then instead say I got $40k for my 19 w/Carvana, still wouldn't be as good of a deal, seems like a wash, unless of course you can then take the savings and invest or bank what those payments would have been towards the new truck. IDK.

Cement grey is my vote. I like it because it reminds of the ship I was on in the Navy. Haze grey and underway (you won’t get it unless you were in the navy stationed on a ship).
But seriously, what an awesome color. Had to have it when I got my Tacoma and I took me awhile to find it in the exact config I wanted but so worth it. Absolutely love it.

Cement. Quicksand is overdone in my opinion. Plus cement is one I was considering when I was purchasing my Taco.

Thanks! I traveled 2 hours to get it since there were no new Tacoma's around any dealership nearby. Ironically, the dealership had 3 color options including the quicksand. Tough decision but since I had the quicksand before it was time to get something different. I must say, I truly LOVE the Cement color!!

Yeah, I had to travel to get mine as well, and that was before dealerships got swamped. Good for you!

I would like to upgrade the headlights to the new OEM led. Does anyone knows if is a direct swap for my 2020? I was told that for 16-19 model years a harness is required. :notsure:

That’s funny, I also had to travel 2 hours from home to find the exact cement grey truck I was looking for as well and this was pre COVID days. Took several weeks to find it but it was worth the effort and the drive to go get it. No regrets!!!
