Hello everyone! I have a 2008 double cab long bed taco and I've been hearing some noise on my passenger side front wheels as if its the bearings. I changed one bearing out on my rear driver side and I knew that one was bad because it sounded like metal grinding against smaller pieces of metal.

Does anyone have an idea how I can check the front bearings without removing the entire hub?

    Any guidance is appreciated!

Jack up the truck and check the wheel for play.

I’ll start by saying sometimes the noise is the only sign until the bearing progresses enough to allow play in the wheel.

That said, you can follow this thread for a good idea on what can be done to diagnose it.

Most of the time, the grab and shake, is used to “diagnose“ it.
Be sure to check that it’s not the ball joints or tie rods that are allowing the movement.

My motorcycle had a high pitched squeal coming from the back of the bike, but only when riding 2 up.

Then one day the squeal suddenly stopped. I turned around to comment to SWMBO about that the noise had stopped, but she was gone.

I wonder if the quick getaway from a stop sign eliminated the noise.................. :bikewheelie:

Check your mud flap. Mine was cracked and made a high pitched noise when driving.
