I used Rustoleum everything. About 2-3 cans of self-etching primer, and about 4 cans of semi-gloss black. They are chipping from rocks and stuff underneath, but holding up great. I'm going to pull them off this Fall, repaint, check the frame, and re-Fluid Film underneath the frame plates.

2 coats of primer, 2 coats of paint, a coat of bed liner, that sound good? My sliders should be in next week

I'd skip the bed liner, it will look good with a rattle can job!

I’m the same as everybody else used rustoleum self etching primer then semigloss black, then I taped off the filler plates and used duplicolor bedliner I’ve had way better luck out of their bedliner than rustoleum and quality. Also took more cans than I thought 3-4 primer 3 black.

I honestly just painted until I liked the coverage. I went with bedliner just to give it some grip. Damn things are slick as greased owl shit when wet if not. I use mine as a step too :D

Yea I started to not bedliner the fill plates but am glad I did helps a lot. I have busted my ass just on the slick outside tube without bedliner vs some very low tread crocks :anonymous:may or may not have kinda f’d my back on that one lol.

I'm glad I bedlined mine. It gives just enough grip.

I have no clue. I can say I spent A LOT of time on mine in Moab without any issues  My heavy ass truck with stock suspension did a lot of scrapping out there. You gotta think they're all pretty much the same though.

Those main legs look like they would be a nice place for mud and rocks to collect. Who made those?

Nevermind, I see that they are SOS by the rear kickout. I didn't realize they made their legs like that.

So got everything hooked up and everything works (GPS, radio, WIFI, Phone/Bluetooth, Navigation, mobile hot spot) except steering wheel controls. In setting somewhere. Crazy amount of stuff to play with and download. IMG_20200825_152934763.jpg

I could have sworn I saw square tubing on @JKU3000's SOS sliders. Maybe he can confirm. I didn't know they changed.
