No. They're 3.909s, just with the larger diffs.

Oof. So it's the 8.75inch ring gear that I'm thinking of then.

    I betcha.

There might have been a time or two when I thought the MT gearing was a bit low on the highway, but we've had cars that turned 2,500 or more at freeways speeds. The Taco is just a bit more truck about it. That's a good thing to me.

My MT truck just purrs at 2500 rpm in 6th gear at 75ish mph.

Yessir. All the 3.5l MTs have the same stock gearing. Not bad really.

Our MT volvo was at about 3k at 70. It got good MPGs there, but it seemed to be a lot for a HO turbo that sort of had the torque. I can't remember what the Forester spins at. I hate driving it, so I don't really look. Just close my eyes and wish for the ride to be over.

I had a Scion TC MT and if I remember that thing was around 3200ish rpm at highway speeds. That was a nice little car I had almost 300,000 miles on it.

Had a 96 VTec accord that ran real smooth around 2700 on the highway. Going er.... Fast.

Those were good machines, esp the MTs.

Yeah. RPM is generally inconsequential as long as it isn't lugging or always against the limiter.

I do remember adding a tooth to the front sprocket of my first bike and it made all the difference in the world though. Took it from annoying and buzzy to relaxed.

    Got my credits

For anyone wondering, you just launch vF and they appear like magic when it starts.

I just requested mine as directed in vF. I am curious what/how vF is communicating to get the info to add credits. Guessing it has to have internet access to work. Wondering if that’s why all the anti-virus software loves the OV/vF stuff.

Excited to get my 12 Credits. Want to unlock the 2018 6MT so I can hook a buddy up and blow his mind. Who wants to make me a deal on the 2018 6MT vF 2.0 files? Still need to identify his ECU. Then have another buddy with a 2018 AT.

Let the fun get ready to start thinking about beginning at some point in the near future!

Yes you need internet for the credits to apply.

For 2016s through 2018s, don't even worry about ECU IDs. Just flash the TSB to the latest. That's the best way forward, IMHO.

Are vF 2.0 files available for 6MT yet or just 2.0 in p5f?

MTs have 2.0 Final for all ECUs in vF format. It has been out since March except for 04B14 since it was new at the time.

The fuel pump recall and managing all the AT options has been the roadblock.
