So got everything hooked up and everything works (GPS, radio, WIFI, Phone/Bluetooth, Navigation, rear view camera) except steering wheel controls (2014 Tacoma). I went into settings and it showed a screen with reset and save tabs and it said to press the steering wheel controls. Tried them all and nothing works. Am I doing something wrong here???
Slogging through everything in this thread. Where do I go to enter the 126 code before going to car setting??? Very much appreciate the help.

Settings-car settings-factory-126. Look under the canbus tab. Try these first to see if it works. Make your screen match this. Then apply then exit. Unit should restart and new settings stored.

That worked and thank you very much. Need to change one of the buttons but good to go for getting there to do so.

Well before I go and brick my new device I have been attempting to download the Agama Car Launcher from the Google Play Store to install on my HU. I saw it download the file but get the continuous spinning circle of death saying it is installing. Going on for an hour or more now and I have a good connection with my home WiFi (also used tethering and a hot spot but same results). So here was my alternative. I downloaded the android version to a USB stick and intended to use the APK installer to execute the file. I clicked on the install function with the installer and it sees the USB stick but not the Agama file. Did a little more research and it said to go into Security and turn on the option for downloading from unknown sources. Well there was no such function in the security tab.

So I am allowing the spinning circle of death installation to continue for now. Interestingly I downloaded the ON-X hunting app with no issues. I also tried to download Waze and Firefox (android version) and ran into the same issue.

So has anyone else had this issue and/or attempted to download the Agama Car Launcher software? Do not want to brick my nice new head unit.

I don’t remember agama being an apk file? Thought it was a regular app. Yes on your settings screen under apps should be the allow unknown sources. Not positive on agama

Thanks! Got a reply from Saita. She sent me a link to CarPlay software (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jjxe0H7mpbLIG_uboS_D3wHVWYDnpF85/view?usp=sharing) and said to download it to USB drive and install it with the Dasaita APK app. WIll let you know how it goes. Was not aware Android 10 did not support the Agama software.

Oops, my bad. The file you download is Car Launcher.

Just to give you an update on my install.
    1. Had all kinds of issues getting my apps to install from Google Play. After a lot of back and forth with Saita she sent me links to download files that actually rolled back my version of the MCU and the system file. Installed them and successfully downloaded a few apps then it stopped working again. Ran the two files again and finally got the last few apps I need for now (Agama car launcher, ON-X hunting (even works with my GPS), Poweramp full version, Waze). Version 10 of the Android software obviously has some issues but glad to get them resolved for now.
    2. Unit is definitely a warm bugger. Plan to eventually install an additional heatsink and maybe fan on the core cpu. Youtube has some videos showing how.

So I finally went and tried to put Hal9k on my PX5 unit. It didn't work. Recognized the file and begins to update, but stops during the reboot at the restore screen.

I have MCU 3.3 and from what I can tell, I need 3.4? I would update it, but can't find it. Looks like folks are still having issues with the 2020 updates on XDA. So no go there. Any other ideas?

Hmm not sure what to tell you but I updated MCU to 3.45_1 there was a link on this thread far back, then I updated to Hal9K. I'm wondering if anyone updated to iOS 14 and is running Hal9K without issues. I dont want to lose my CarPlay again as its been working flawlessly for months now.

Same question here. Anyone with the Carlinkit USB dongle for wireless Carplay upgrade to iOS 14? I've googled around and can't find anything.

I just purchased the PX6. Everything worked great on install but the backup camera. As soon as I figured out the wiring for the backup camera and it turned on when I put my truck in reverse the Check Engine light came on and I took it to the dealer. They told me that the radio was messing with a switch on the transmission not allowing it to go into Park. Has anyone had this issue? Would anyone happen to have a picture of their wiring?

I don’t know about the wiring but I think you may be able to use a zenar diode and get it to work properly. Depending on how you position it will only allow current to flow in one direction, so it will allow the power signal from the trans to the radio but will block any signal from the radio to the trans

I put in Focal ISS and ISC 165's I honestly want to get an aftermarket speaker. Compared to having OEM this and past systems with amps there is no way to compete. If you want more volume and power you need an external amp.

I would highly recommend sound deadening in the doors. Our doors do us no justice. the Dasaita with aftermarket speaker and sound deadening was a nice upgrade. I felt the speaker were ok but the sound deadening woke them up big time.

Did you get the canbus with the head unit? You should not have had to mess with any wiring and should have worked by programming the canbus. Its supposed to be plug and play. If you did not get the canbus harness and had to do it another way that may make sense.

So I’m seeing conflicting information. So installing the max6 in a 2015 Tacoma non jbl, what harnesses and canbus do I need for steering control and factory back up camera?
