Why take it to a shop for that? Did you get a spanner with those Kings? Just jack the front of the truck up, loosen the pinch bolt and add 4 turns or so to each side

I tried. When I first installed them I was going to adjust them to what I thought would be the correct height. I could not get them to budge, even with jackstands under the frame, the suspension fully drooped, no weight on it at all and the coilover simply sitting loosely bolted in place I could not get the adjusters to spin. They are going to need a spring compressor. If I had realized this I would have taken them somewhere to adjust before I installed them. Thought it would be a snap to adjust on the truck. Oh well.

not being sarcastic, but did you loosen the Allen head on the collar before you tried to adjust?

I knew someone would ask and yes, I loosened the bolt. The instructions say to only loosen it one turn, I tried that and then tried loosening it all the way, it didn't matter. There is too much tension on the adjuster from the spring.

Still shouldn’t be that difficult to turn the preload collar. Spray some sort of penetrating oil in along the top, bottom, and in the split of the collar and try again after letting it soak for a few min. If they’re brand new, they should turn. Worked great on my neighbors with 14” 650# springs.

That said, if it doesn’t want to budge, then don’t wallow out the adjuster holes. Just a pain to pull them out and take to a shop with a compressor just for that.

Just in the case anyone has a 5x8 or 5x10 enclosed V-nose trailer W/or w/out brakes and is in the market for an 8x12 flatbed trailer w/out brakes and w/a ramp, I’m in the market to trade or buy the v-nose outright.

    -Thx!

Hahaha sorry if you look at the rear fox shocks there’s the bracket on the right side that doesn’t let your brake line run against the shock.

That bracket has been there for every model since the 2nd gen. It wraps around the e-brake and bolts to one of the leaf spring guides.

Hey AZ TW Ladies and Gents!

Have any suggestions on where to get a good 5x8-ish enclosed cargo trailer either new or used somewhere between Sierra Vista and Phoenix? I’m in the market. I also have a 8x12 single axle flatbed w/ramp that needs a new home that may work as some trade space.

    Thanks!

Then someone removed it. Not really a necessary part so I wouldn’t worry too much about it
