2018/3rd Gen. I removed the roof channel trim to give it a good cleaning. There was a ton of soot in between the roof and trim. It appears the factory used a combination of tape and caulking. Suggestions to what to use to adhere it back- type of tape and caulking?

I'm not familiar with the 3rd gens but any double-sided tape or some dabs of silicone should work. Nothing complicated, you're just trying to hold it in place so it doesn't blow off on the freeway.

Thanks... that is what I was hoping was the case. Thank you for confirming this.

just throwing this out there in case...don't pull the factory tape that's covering the threaded roof rack mounting holes. If so, cover them back up with some silicone otherwise you'll get leaks

I only pulled the plastic channel off and removed anything loose. Hopefully it was not where the factory holes are. I will look at it to confirm. Thanks again.
