I recently had a coolant flush done at the Toyota dealership. I drove the truck a couple thousand miles with no issues. I recently took a 400 mile trip pulling my trailer with about 3000lbs. When I got back I noticed a dried white substance on my upper radiator hoses and the engine cover. The coolant resovoir tank was a tad low. I'm assuming the white substance is coolant but the tank had the cap on tight. Has anyone else seen this on there truck or do you know where it came from? Sorry the picture is so blurry.

Check the hose going to the coolant overflow reservoir. Sometimes they get cracked and cause small amounts of coolant to leak out which then gets slung everywhere by the fan

I will check that. I couldn't see well because it was getting dark but that would make sense as to why it was spewed all over the place.

Replace your radiator cap. It is probably leaking and causing the reservoir to overflow. It is supposed to seal and allow the radiator to pressurize(after it heats up), and open when it cools. If the valve leaks, or stays open, the coolant can start to boil, forcing coolant out of the reservoir.

Another less-likely problem can be a head gasket leak, which will over-pressurize the radiator causing the same symptoms. An exhaust gas test of the coolant can tell you if this is the case: https://itstillruns.com/test-exhaust-gases-coolant-7885485.html

That's what I originally thought it was. I bought an OEM radiator cap because the small seal on the cap was cracked and dry rotted. What is kind of odd is I wiped the hoses off and topped the coolant off and drove it a couple hundred miles without losing any coolant or spewing it all over. Im going to check the line going to resorvoir and replace the cap and hopefully it takes care off the issue for good.

I forgot to add: Check the condition of the radiator neck's sealing surface for irregularities too
