Just submitted an order for calipers for my '05 2.7l 4x4 6 lug, and for some reason after submission noticed that the parts I ordered didn't say "6 lug" or "4wd" in the description.

Here's a link to the parts:

    https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog....7l+l4,1431546,brake+&+wheel+hub,caliper,1704

I ordered right and left Raybestos coated calipers, part number for the right side is: FRC11553C

RA has no phone support, as you know, so I'm wondering if a knowledgeable and helpful soul might look to see whether these are the correct calipers. Pretty sure they are -- marked No. 13WG.

    Thank you!

They look good to me, the other options specify 5 lug.

Thanks very much! Was able to find a dealer page, put in model number from inside door frame, and confirmed (as you have) they are correct.

Sure hope these "coated" calipers keep me from yet another set up here where salt is king. This is pair #4 on this truck.

Looks fine. The 5-lug caliper is a floating single-piston type, looks drastically different.

Since the calipers are reman, before you install them, double-check with a ratchet or wrench that the 4 bolts holding the two caliper halves together are snug.

Put some Bosch coated rotors on the truck about 3 years ago, and they really are holding up well -- fwiw. Fingers crossed on the calipers. Pistons keep freezing, and I'm not sure what coating the case will do for me.

Wish I could find some caliper pins that didn't rot over a single winter. Junk is all I can find for pins. But it's a terrible design compared to my wife's Subaru and my daughter's Honda (and friend's Ford, for that matter).

Never had an issue in the past 10 years. I just clean and lubricate the calipers with Permatex grease every two years. :notsure:

My trucks sit in this for 3 months every year. The parking lot at my work is next to a road salt silo, so the salting trucks dump it extra heavy:

I bet the engineers at Icon Vehicle Dynamics never imagined salt like this
