Finally got my Topper EzLift Weekender installed. Tested it out this past weekend for my hubby's birthday. It was awesome!

 

...As we slowly-but-still-too-quickly made our way through the mountains, @mrs.turbodb discovered that not far from the route, a hike - to ********* Canyon, apparently allowed those who put in a little effort to enjoy a series of petroglyph panels, and we knew that despite it already being after 5:00pm, we had to make the trek....

My dad used to build & sell these camp kitchens. This was his first one (prototype?). The stove, utensils & cookware are the original ones he had in it.. we only replaced some of the plates and a pot. He left me all of his camping gear when he passed away 5 years ago. Convinced my husband into using it for the first time since and he now loves that we have it (thought it was too much of a hassle, bulky). Camp kitchens are great for organizing. My husband had kept all cooking stuffs in plastic shopping bags, I couldn't stand it anymore. Lol!

 

Is that a Gazelle tent?
I saw an ad for them the other day and it caught my attention. They seem to have a good price point as well. A little better than the oz tents

 

Yup, it's a Gazelle tent. We like it a lot. Easy to setup and it's really roomy inside. its not cheap but yes, price point is decent.

 

Very cool to have and use something like that. Those items are priceless!

 

pretty awesome, i wish to do a lot of camping when my kids are old enough....

We Saved the Best for Last - Dead Ends #3​

 

Started a road trip last week. Jersey Shore PA for a weekend bike event and now been at Cuyahoga Valley for a couple days. Pressing on to Indiana Dunes tomorrow.

 

Campsite at Indiana Dunes was great...aside from the trains that roll through the area hanging on their horns. and a random pic from Iowa. Some really cool gorges that I never knew existed before this trip!!

 

Summer is a great time in the state of Washington. While much of the rest of the year might be dreary and gray, the long days and clear air between mid-July and September are nothing short of perfection for getting out to enjoy the mountainous terrain in the western part of the state. (In the 4Runner this time.)
