Speaking of things that suck when you get older, heard the other day that there's a new blood test that can accurately detect prostate cancer so in the near future, men over 40 won't have to get probed by their doctor every time they get an annual checkup.

What a time to be alive

I'd wager that to be the 3rd gen section; this is a bit more accurate

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Well. My rack cables busted as a lx470 was getting lifted. Luckily the cars fine and I’m fine. But I can officially say, I’ve technically dropped a car off a rack now. Sure it was mechanical failure before it even hit the first lock. But still... wakes you up for sure

When I was in high school and working at the fab shop the owner picked up a used 4 post lift. I pointed out the frayed cables and asked if he was going to replace them and he said no, they will be fine, they are rated over capacity in case they fray.

He put his CCLB 7.3 on it and the cables broke and put the truck through the cinder block wall. He never said a word to me about the lift after that.

A442 is a true heavy duty transmission from Aisin. 1st gear is straight cut for strength, the entire unit has overbuilt clutch baskets and heavy duty kevlar clutches. Fluid capacity is massive. It's original design was for busses and trucks from Toyota and Isuzu. Most Isuzu NPR and NQR have them as well as many city busses from Hino. They're electronic and simple to control, they're one of the first autos from Aisin to have electronic pressure control, and can be end user adjusted. It's a good trans choice for heavy vehicles and vehicles being used hard, a heavy wheeling Tacoma or one making some solid horsepower would love it. I have the factory trans cooler in my cruiser and I can barely get it to 200° towing. It's one of the reasons the 80 series from 93-94 are sought after, you get an A442 rather than the all hydraulic A440 of the 90-92 or the A343 of the 95-97 (which is undersized for a land cruiser). The failure rate of the A442 is well below that of the A343 (A340 derived). The 442 is still being produced by Aisin and has tons of performance and strength products offered for it. You can even get a bulletproofed version from Australia good for 1000hp.

fuck I wish I had picked up one of the many 20-40$ abrasive saws that were for sale this time last year. My buddy used to live across the street and let me borrow his whenever.

Now the the used ones are trending on new prices

I wish the vertical band saw prices would come down. I could do most stuff with one and they're pretty compact as far as garage equip goes

Are the results in? Or was it just a day to take the images?
